Salvini who's riding 10 points ahead in the polls in Italy is already saying the EU question will need "revisiting" after all this is over.

This half-flag thing should be reserved for after the crisis. During the crisis the flag should be all the way up, everything else is just demotivating imho.

EDIT: Also EU will find a joint response, alone because it's just in the very interest of the richer countries. These just don't want blanc cheques, which is understandable thinking how some of the lesser EU countries were run even before the crisis.

It just shows the rot behind the European project. Spain and Italy absolutely fucked and almost no one helping. It’s no wonder we wanted out. Not once during this whole crisis have I heard anyone, on either side of the leave/remain thing say that things would be better if we’d stayed in Europe. Brexit is now a non issue in the press.
They are realising that we can manage just fine and that the purported ‘all one big happy bloc all in it together’ is absolute bollocks. Stories of various countries swooping in to buy masks and taking them off others as well. It just shows what a shit show it all is. Nationalism get a bad press, sometimes deservedly, but nations need to look out for their own people while not fucking over others.

their model is crap. All the models are crap though. We still do t have an accurate rO even.
The inputs we need aren’t defined so nobody is able to model well. Imagine you test for active infection and you find five percent of people infected. Where are you in the epidemic’s progress? Is that five percent infected and 95% still vulnerable. Or is it five percent infected with 75% immune already? Or less, or more? Each result gives you vastly different outcomes.
Eyeballing it and gut feeling: I reckon UK could hit a few days with 1700-2300 deaths. Hopefully not too much higher, but it’s possible if you’ve had things like a bunch of nursing homes infected in a similar period. If we are very, very lucky it’ll trundle along at around 1k a day for a week or three then start to tail off gradually. It is going to be harsh.

Those shots of the tower sending out high power beams looked like every scientology and jehovah's witness pamphlet ever. Hate to say it but chinese propaganda of this sort is damn near useless because westerners already associate that shit with cults and shitty advertising. It is good to see them spending so much money futilely, but it is also revealing how backwards they are. I hope the appropriate intelligence and political bodies are taking note.

after a thorough double-blind analysis of all sides of this situation for the preceding month i can confirm that, after 4 months of dealing with this, there is still nobody that has any fucking clue how bad this actually is and what the appropriate response should be, nor how long it will last and what the economic, social, and political consequences of this in both short- and long-term will be.
