That is a good point by Oney's follower. This was done in a vacuum with no outside influence. Mallorie did this the same way a scientist would in a sterile environment. No third variables, no unaccounted factors. Just Mallorie being horrible all on their own, like a guy in a lab coat just dropped them into an empty white room with nothing more than a wacom tablet to see what they draw.
They'll still find somebody to blame, though.
The fact that it negatively affects the retail employee is even better. Well, maybe I shouldn't phrase it that way, but it's bitter irony that Mallorie begins by supposedly sympathizing for the worker before immediately aggrandizing something which can cost them their livelihood with sub-zero self awareness.
