Y'know, I used to actually... well, "like" is perhaps too strong a word, but I thought there might be hope for Jesse. At least compared to people like, say, Sophie or Bria. He seemed like a person with genuine mental issue who got sucked into the tranny cult and realized he couldn't escape without being executed for apostasy. So I had some sympathy for him.

That sympathy has now run out.

As artist, things like this do piss me off because of the mentality Jessica and her kind cultivate end up causing issues for everyone else. Stealing from art supply stores isn't going to stop any big corporations from being scummy and it ends up hurting the minimum wage workers that can lose their job because of missing inventory. And for her to say that she apparently has been doing this since she was a teenager just irks me.

Back then, I had to save money to get any sort of art supplies when I was a teen because my parents made me throw away all of the markers and colored pencils I had at one point. In the comic, the character is stealing things like copic markers and inking pens which are already expensive enough as it is. A set of 72 copic markers cost about $400 for example. Then they don't even use these items, they just want to steal them just because "it's fun".

All of this, "be gay, do crime" shit is going to do nothing but bite them in the ass. The lifter community pretty much dissolved on tumblr because of the good people reporting them to the authorities and mocking them for being utterly stupid, spoiled brats.

The economically illiterate, hyper-sheltered takes. The boorish entitlement to just take whatever he desires. The complete blindness to consequences other people will have to suffer due to his actions. The indignant attitude after being called out. The poorly veiled misogyny of referring to his critics wholesale as "Karens" - meaning easily offended, nosy women.

does she? if anything it seems like her genuinely being a tranny is just one of the things that fuel her self hate and victim complex and fuck her mental health even more

shes probably one of the few people in her community i WOULDNT call sheltered
if anything her situation is actually unbelievably sad, severe mental illnesses and trauma aside, shes a stoner who does nothing but shoplift, sit at home growing mold in her gammy stale room or have mental breakdowns and i dont even think she even gets the same kinda asspetting from all directions irl. i dont know if she'd even be able to HANDLE it as some people on here brought up- she really IS scared of sucess. her victim complex isnt the mild case of 'oh boo hoo me someone pity me", it seems like she genuinely feels the world is out to get her and is almost comforted by that as some kinda sense of normalcy

Can you imagine if a black guy said: "Be black, do crime." Are they saying being gay is basically just being a criminal so they should be treated like that? Maybe Jean Genet would be okay with that but it seems pretty fucking stupid to me.

Why am I not surprised Jess did this shit again? She can't even garner negative attention right. Other's are already using her clout more than what she got. Any smart person could roll with the punches (like with the new guy comic) but Jess HAS to be the one in the right. This is why Jess is never going to change because she doesn't WANT to. Jess wants to be in this position. She wants to complain, be miserable all the time and garner sympathy for it. Sadly, for her, that won't work out that way. People catch on.

With this whole debacle, Jess shows once again, why she'll never be accepted into the community she desires. New guy was the first straw, but most people, even some teenagers have worked in retail and gotten shit for things stupid customers and thieves like her does. No one likes getting extra hours added to their work to account for shrink or potentially getting hours cut to avoid theft, or the customers who have to buy priced-up art supplies to make up for said loss. Everyone is affected when you steal and no one likes that.

The fact that Jess doesn't understand that people would sympathize to the employees, calling them "karens" truly shows how out of touch they are with their own market for their comics. She can't even say "well I didn't mean it" at this point. The damage is done. She'll forever be known as the jerk who made the new guy comic/thief comic (with she herself being one) and she can't do anything about it (not that she wants to). You can say Jess got her clout. But her reputation? Garbage.
