You might wanna be careful with your fun because ISWV people are getting almost as spergy as KV any time Rekieta breathes. I might start archiving this stuff (which is like never for me) because hoes are mad and it's great.

I don't care if everything Dom says is a lie, the fact that it happens would lead to so, so much entertainment. Only way to make that better is to have Gothic Sushi on at the same time but there's no way in a million years that'd ever happen.
The people who tend to believe those kinds of spins are random sheep. I don't mind that.
I think I've proven time and time again I have nothing to lie about.

So how long until the concern trolls start attacking conventions trying to get Vic to attend because they're "making money off Vic's name?" Or finding some way to go after Nick for it?

The Fantasy Soft situation was kinda derpy, but no more derpy than Nick mentioning he wants to do anime. (I'm presuming he means license one and fund the dub/sub of it and not, you know, create an animation studio, but I'm not sure anymore.)

It amazes me that a a massive geek who does cartoon voices for a living, is probably a literal vampire on account he's basically immune to aging, has every reason to chimp out on social media, and has pants gayer than San Francisco's Castro District is heads and shoulders the least retarded person in this whole saga.

Well Vic got in the industry in his late 30s, the dude is an adult and he knows how to...adult. Most of these vas we're reject actors and ran funi like a frat house since anime dubbing was becoming big.

Jumping on the FSE bandwagon.
You missed that masterpiece... just look at his motherfucking bio on IMDb:

He's so hard working he's trying to do IRL fights with teens.

I haven't seen that much bullshit since Ron Toye learned what a Twatter is. First off, Vic was part of the Ghost Stories dub which all he did was say not to include his name. If he didn't want to do the role, it should be his choice, not yours. Riding off of someone else's fame also is a good idea. Some series wouldn't even survive if it didn't have a big name attached to it. It is all part of the advertisement phase where you get your name out there working on your own brand. I could go on a full fucking rant but not much point since well everybody should know the obvious.

Now let's get to the honestly makes sense part: costs. Even now, Vic is a high profile VA and that certainly costs more than say a group of friends having fun. It certainly raises eyebrows this was done immediately after FSE was revealed to be fake.

Sigh you want to know what would be a good statement about casting: no statement. Why does the world need to know about something when it isnt there business? You dont want a certain VA now. Okay. Vic doesnt get every role he wanted. Here's an easy one if you have to make a statement:

"After careful consideration, I have decided to put the idea of casting Vic for a role in my web series. I am currently reassessing my priorities to make sure I deliver quality content over trying to accomplish every little thing I would want from it."

Like seriously, how hard is it to make a Tweet like that?
Admittedly I had only made a tweet about it because I knew that some of my followers knew Vic had been in discussions and I didn't want to lead them on if they were only interested due to his involvement. Overall you are right, I probably should've been as brief as possible. That probably would've been smart. At the time I had only wanted to be as transparent as possible because this Fantasy soft thing was going down and I felt like honesty would be the best solution. I mistook honesty for oversharing.
As for the money and the fame, the truth is simple: He did cost a lot, but it was a price I was more then willing to pay. I like Vic. He's very cordial and he's someone I would love to work with in the future still. And it is smart to associate yourself with someone with clout. My issue came with Fantasy Soft. I got to know the CEO pretty well though private DMs and, after they imploded, I felt as though they would be more damaging to be associated with. I did a poor job of expressing that. They look a lot like a con job trying to ride a famous person's coattails. I didn't want Casual Otaku Studios to be that, or anywhere close to being related to that. So my decision to temporarily distance from Vic was mostly due to them, I just did a really bad job articulating that.

I'm very sorry. Shoot me any more comments/questions and I'd happily reply.

Casual otaku is a idiot. He knew damn well working with vic at the height of the lawsuit would "jeopardize the careers of my employees." Thats what happens when you work with "controversial" people you'll get backlash and him "bring too expensive?" The fuck you thought he was working for free? You talk big about hiring vic and now you deleted your whole channel and comment block the only video?
The money actually isn't a big Issue, it's mostly this Fantasy soft stuff.
I would be more then willing to pay Vic and have him in the series, but for an up and coming studio like my own it looks like I'm just Fantasy Soft 2.0. I did a really shit job at articulating that and I would like to apologize. I'm more then happy to have Vic on, but for a role later on. (Final Boss maybe?)
So, While I'm willing to pay Vic, I'm not willing if it makes my whole brand look like the absolute time bomb that fantasy soft was.

As for the channel, I plan on rebranding into an animation based channel so a lot of my previous content was just unrelated, so I privatized it.
And. as for the comments on the only up video being demonetized, I had thought the reason it was disabled was bc of youtube's stupid hate speech policy. Turns out it's because they implemented that Coppa thing and I just had to flip a switch.

So, Thank you! I wouldn't have figured that out without you! If you have any more questions or comments please lmk and I'll happily answer to the best of my ability!

Hello, welcome to the farms and i hope you are staying safe during the virus. This isnt a slight but We do need answers about the whole thing. You have announced Vic to be part of your project and thank you for trying to get Vic but, you should've known Vic might have have a bigger price than the other Vas (assuming your VAs are just starting out so they'll be cheaper) did you discuss Vic about how much would it cost before announcing him? Like how did you realize he would've cost too much? Was it like he got expensive during the progression of the show (did he record any lines and is the show in production or you still in the pre-production concept art phase?) Or you got him in the project and you just recently ask about his cost?

My issue came with Fantasy Soft. I got to know the CEO pretty well though private DMs and, after they imploded, I felt as though they would be more damaging to be associated with.

I don't think Vic would've hold you accountable for not knowing How much of a nuttcase Kenneth is. How much of a working relationship you were with Fantasy Soft before the implosion? Were you guys working together or just acquaintances.

I doubt anyone thinks you was riding off of Vic's coattails because your project was new, Fantasy Soft was Shadow hyping the project for 6 years saying people are involved when they are not and using clips from 6 years ago passing it off as if it was recently done. The main issue people had is how you worded in the tweet "We don't want to jeopardize the reputation of the studio" You should've known hiring someone who is at the height of their cancelation and getting accused in the media your studio might get push back from she dangerhairs who wouldn't support your studio regardless. It gave Kickvic ammo thinking Vic can't be worked with and you know Kickvic will turn any mistep about Vic getting con invites or cancelations as "SEE TOLD YOU HES A PREADTOR AND A DIVA REE" and they way you worded it could be used to push the narrative that Vic is hard to work with. If you said like "During production we realized that Vic would be too expensive to work with due to the impending crisis we decided to part ways and we would love to invite him later on a new project when the studio builds up a good fanbase that supports the product."

I hope you have a good day and hope you understand why some people have been taken aback from the news. I do apologize for calling you an idiot and thinking you was ghosting from the internet thinking you'll get a hate brigade against you (which you should if iswvspeds try going after you for the news) the Tweet just seemed awkward considering all the stuff that's been going on this week.

I will be honest, the idea that Kickvic would be stalking me to see if they could use that phrase as an attack on Vic hadn't even crossed my mind. As soon as it was brought to my attention that it could be I deleted my tweets. My lack of foresight could've hurt Vic, and that really shames me. I doubt he'll ever see this or the tweets but I am truly sorry for my own ignorance. And don't apologize for calling me an Idiot bc I was an Idiot.

As for the price, this is a complex issue. He initially gave me a price and told me he would love to be a part of the project, basically confirming that, yes, he was in. I was more then willing to pay the price and work with him, so I let my followers know. He said yes after all.

Then he became very distant. I sent him scripts, but he never recorded anything. I got it though, he's a busy man with a lot going on. Plus, I wasn't very confident in the project at the time, so I eventually asked him to hold off on the project so we could reorganize some things. (This was almost a year ago. The project has since been rebuilt from the ground up) He said sure, and then asked that I not tell anyone about his involvement.
Oh shit.
So I fessed up, I told him I had told some people. He said it was cool, but he would like to wait until there was a finished project before tying his name to it. So I deleted the tweets and made sure to never play up any form of involvement with him (Another reason I privited my videos)
Then dumb thing happened after dumb thing. I got Kaelen Faire as a VA, and then she constantly kept provoking fights (I understand that she didn't start all or even most of them, but it still damaged my brand since she tagged me in literally everything.) My only real involvement for fantasy soft was that they asked if I could promote them on my Channel, and in exchange they would give me some big VA's emails. (Another reason to get rid of videos. yikes) Then they imploded. If I may be honest, I'm not entirely certain that FS wasn't a con job.

So, when I say he's to expensive, I don't just mean the pay. For a VA who is as talented and famous as he is he's actually super fair. And I am more then willing to help someone who was falsely accused of rape, something very similar happened to a friend of mine. My only issue was the whole FSE fiasco and the assortment of crazies that attached themselves to Vic's brand. So, let me be clear: VIC is worth the pay, the risks, everything. VIC'S COATTAILERS Aren't. I'm friends with a lot of voice directors who have worked with a lot of big names. (I mean, like, critical role levels of names) I can testify that this has hurt ALOT of indy studios. Big names are far less willing to work with smaller people bc of it.

For now I just want to establish Casual Otaku Studios and then I will see about bringing Vic back. I need to prove that I'm not a fraud.

I'm not KickVic, and I'm trying to not sell him out. I made some bad choices, but I promise you I still Stand With Vic.

Looks like Casual Otaku deleted his account

v=

I got some advice that one of my tweets made it sound like Vic was somehow a predator. I poorly phrased it, so I purged everything.

I actually did it first a few weeks ago, I'm just in the process of turning this into a more business oriented twitter.

You don't need to promise us anything.
You do you what you need to do.
We'll just watch from the sidelines hoping that the popcorn doesn't run out.

Thank you so much.

And thank all of you for letting me explain what was going through my head. You've been extremely gracious and, with the way I came off, I really didn't deserve it.

I'm going to go back to animating now before my other VAs catch me taking a break. They will end me. Dont be afraid to send any more questions!

Well thanks for coming out and talking to us on the farms, the fantasy soft grift caught everyone off guard, I'm not too sure of the kaleen situation but it seemed from what i got she was a clout chasing VA trying to dramawhore and got people kicked out of projects. It just seemed you just had rookie mistakes doing your first show. Hopefully your studio works out in the near future.

Hmmm... I can't imagine why he would have become distant or not recorded anything you sent him a year ago. I mean, it's not like he was in the middle of the fight of his life or anything. Oh, wait...

Sarcasm aside, please realize that even the quote above can be harmful to a professional actor. To someone unfamiliar with his situation, this makes him look irresponsible and lacking work ethic = do not hire. On the surface, it's a studio owner complaining about an actor. Nobody takes the time to dive deeper.

It sounds like you have learned a valuable lesson here that I hope serves you well in the future. Thinking before speaking is an art, and saying less is often more.

So, this slipped under everyone's radar:
Scott Barretto is no longer the Head of Public Relations at Funimation:
That is some fresh news. I wonder if he got sacked cuz of korona-chan or something else.

Man, the more stuff I read about Fantasy Soft, the more disappointed I'm getting. And now it seems even Kaelan Faire wasn't an innocent bystander. That's sad.

Who's next? No wonder sabat is hiding in his office all the time. His wife is probably writing up his termination notice as we speak.

Probably got fired when the merger happened, Geekdom (although he's renfield) said a lot of people got axed during the merger.
There is no longer a Renfield.
I cleared that up with Geekdom personally.
All there is is MoRonica, Marchi, & Funimation.

Kaelan much like FS lied about having affiliation with Vic. She was asked just like FS to stop suggesting that there is some kind of affiliation. She got mad & felt that Vic owed her something for it. There is zero talent there. Also if you consider Nita's statement on DAs stream recently. She was told by Kenneth (LB jr) that the more money he got on patreon, the more she would get paid for her work.

Assuming Kaelan was treated the same. It's not out of the realm of possibility that it explains why she pushed for Fantasy Soft so much & why they doubled down on affiliating with Vic.

In plain English. If one party isn't affiliated with Vic surely the "company" must be! What a joke.

I dunno, Nick saying "I'd like to license an anime" isn't that weird. I'm sure it's mostly just a pipedream of 'ah, that would be fun', but even if he wanted to hunker down and do one for real, licensing out just one anime localization is much cheaper than trying to be a studio or making one from scratch.

Admittedly I had only made a tweet about it because I knew that some of my followers knew Vic had been in discussions and I didn't want to lead them on if they were only interested due to his involvement. You should have been straightforward and to the point. Your decision, according you, was 100% to do with FSE, and that's all that should have been said. Bringing any excuse in related to Vic beyond that could only hurt him. That said...I have my doubts, frankly. It just doesn't make much sense to me. FSE was a vaporware scam that used Vic's name without his knowledge, while you were in ongoing negotiations with Vic and active development. No one would make that connection, and if somehow they did you could easily disprove it.

So, this slipped under everyone's radar:

I would not be shocked if Funi is fully merged and doa by october this year if not sooner.

Can someone give me the 411 on the merger? When did it occur? Which companies were involved? I know Funimation had a shitload of NYC and CA job postings a few months back which was interesting, (having seen a few of my clients go through them that's the biggest warning sign for a post-merger purge), and I know a lot of people were pointing out that Aniplex already has a perfectly good US branch and is also owned by Sony (so there's a lot of redundant people)...

Didn't realize anything had officially happened. Only thing I saw mentioned for sure was some European project Funimation is involved with.
