Few days ago, our president ordered that we should be leaving home by gender. As in, men can only leave home Monday, Wed, Fri, while women, T-T-S. This was because, he said, would reduce the numbers of people outside.

It didn't work. The first day, was a mess. And there were more women arrested than men... (because more women are in charge of the house than men, but the gov. can't say that bc my soggy knees).

The president said few days later that this was a good chance to balance the roles and chores in the house to be more balanced

...because having the man working while the woman stays home isn't balanced for these people who probably have no idea what balanced actually means.

Gonna explain you what happened:

Today's Holy Thursday and tomorrow, Holy Friday. The government is using these days to keep us all at home in "mandatory isolation". Which is fine. So, we should have prepared for two days. And because women can't leave Wednesday, most of them were out to the markets in Thursday to buy for Wed-Thu-Fri. Those who couldn't finish, had to send the husbands in Wednesday, which was another mess.

It's very likely, more people got infected these days than the days before because there were THOUSANDS of people in the markets.


So, today, there is an interview with the government adviser who's very progressive, very feminist, and very commie who was hired to support the government as he's a sociologist and he said "yeah, it was a bad moment to try to fight the patriarchy, I think I made a mistake."

His idea was that one day, wife would leave and the other one, the husband, so to speak, instead of leaving both the same day.

I think that, the idea was not bad per se, to select certain days for people to leave, but this doesn't work if you're gonna leave three days. Probably if only one person is gonna go outside for food one day a week. To be fair, I haven't thought much about it, so I don't know now a better solution.

Alas, the person behind this idea had in mind to use the chance to fight the patriarchy. The guy's name is trending now because everybody wants his head.

Honestly, I think he's madder because this experiment proved that women are messy while men are not. More women were arrested during their days, queues were bigger, they didn't use face masks, fought the police, etc. Men were more mechanical and organised and less problems were reported. The ministry of defense even said so on tv. Everybody was mocking feminism that day because everybody knew this would be in this way.

Also, the funniest thing was that many progressives asked the question we all knew they would make: "WHAT ABOUT THE TROONS?". The president said "well, if a person looks like a woman, then she's a woman". Progressives had some sort of mass masturbation bc "president said trans-rights". Even when we reminded them that there are many countries where this is considered transphobic, they insisted that the president's words were making us all more liberal and first world now.

Until the police arrested a lesbian who looked like a man.

More like they cant see reality over their own ideology. Every normal person in the world knows the Wife is the primary keeper of the household finances and does the purchasing for supporting the household. Such an idea does not compute to a person who believes married women=the handmaids tale.

guess italy, USA, spain, britain, france etc all don't have functional healthcare. going through BNO's statistics there's only a few countries with 1% or less, most are between 5 and 10% some even higher.

The BNO's statistics make sense if you consider the % of infections that are being caught. Testing has utterly collapsed in Italy, with the majority, but not all serious and critical cases being tested, mild cases are utterly overlooked in the hardest hit regions, and even in the milder regions mild cases are often ignored and told to stay home.

In the US testing never got off the ground in many places, testing rates are woefully behind.

In mid march it was thought that at best only 15% of cases were being detected, now the line of thinking is that less then 10% are being detected. For instance, its estimated that there were over 10 million infections in the US on Wednesday, but as of now we only know of 468,000 cases because in many states you still cant get tested unless you are in hospital.

At the moment Italy has a 12.7% death rate, but if you go by the worst case scenario that only 15% are being detected, the death rate plummets to 1.9%, 1.27% if you assume 10% are being caught, and many are speculating the actual number may be FAR BELOW even 10%. You apply the 15% number to the US, south korea, or germany, and the death rate is well under 1%.

South korea has done the most testing per capita and is sitting at a 1.23% death rate, but even they have tested only 0.5% of their population, its entirely possible that many mild cases there are not being reported either due to mild cases appearing to be a typical flu/cold. And given how goddamn fast this disease moves and how slow testing follows, it wouldnt be surprising to me if the % caught has been dropping day by day.

if this is really case (perhaps medical kiwis can provide anecdotes if they live in rural areas) that means there's going to be an extremely weird market effect with regards to healthcare in the coming months/years in the US. i wonder if we're going to get nationalized healthcare just as a necessity to keep the more rural healthcare workers employed.

With elective surgeries being cut, people not going outside and getting into accidents, people afraid of going to hospitals and getting the coof and I assume others generally trying to not practice poor lifestyle choices that will require them going to hospitals, there has been a drop in patient numbers.

Things in my state have yet to spike like they did in NY. We definitely have a growing amount of cases but things aren't at nurses wearing trashbags/refrigerated trucks for bodies levels yet so people are already starting to get pissy over quarantine and skirting it.
Most states have been quarantining on some level for some time already without seeing their hospitals overloaded yet so it's already getting the overhyped flu label again. I want to hope that things only got as bad as they did in NY because it's a dirty/packed shit hole but who knows.

Hart Island has been the Potter's Field of New York City for at least the past 100 years. This isn't news, its tabloid sensationalism and fear-mongering. And many of these are temporary since New York City is hosed at the moment with several hundred dead and infected bodies a day so families can't make arrangements easily, or quickly.

I keep saying this yet it keeps getting posted anytime a news outlet is thirsty for clicks.
