You have to remember that there are a lot of people who are absolutely pathologically obsessed with fitting whatever they think is the idealised social image in the eyes of "the elite/important people" be it in dress, speech, interests or political opinion. They will spend vast amounts of time and money in reshaping themselves into the epitome of what they think the proverbial kewl kids klub likes so that they might somehow become one of their number, even if the end result is absolutely fucking loathesome in the eyes of everyone not completely delusional or similarly obsessed with this horseshit. I'd argue the Flash has more than enough for a feature film using any of his greatest stories. They shouldn't drop Ezra for this. They should drop Ezra because he's horribly miscast as The Flash.

That being said, it's been three weeks and there's been no arrest, no investigation that's been reported, no nothing- and that's weird, seeing as how it seems that there was an assault recorded on film.

So I'm tentatively going to withhold my judgments on Miller (on this subject, anyway) until official statements or arrests have been made. He's an idiot and I don't like him, but I dislike the court of public opinion even more- and if this was staged, like some are alleging, if this was something fake that got recorded without his knowledge and blown out of proportion, it will mean that Miller lost his job/career over nothing.

I also resent the fact that the only people "confirming" that this was an assault are a bunch of cowardly little bitches that are only identified as "sources close to Variety" or whatever. People who make these kinds of accusations behind the veil of anonymity should be taken with a thousand grains of salt, because you don't know the motivations of the people giving out that information. if they won't sack up and attach their name and face to their accusations, there's usually a reason- and I'm sorry, but in spite of being in a few popular franchises, I strongly doubt that Ezra Miller has the kind of clout or power to silence anyone outside of Hollywood.

I don't think he'll lose the Fantastic Beasts or DCCU job over this. Rowling was willing to hire Johnny Depp at the height of the abuse accusations Amber Heard was making against him; and if DC hasn't dropped Heard for being outed as a lying sack of abusive shit, I doubt they'll drop Miller for this. Contracts to honor, and all that.
