I didn't see everything you might be right about Cody contacting Nick, but I know YF & TUG were talking about it before Nick even hinted about it. And they talked about involving Nick. I can't say who Nick reacted to.
You are right. Not being able to leave the house leaves you with limited options, watch TV, play video games or mess around online. As a fan of history no matter the subject I gave this a look. I’ll share my findings if you’re interested.

On January 26th Flash makes his first video on the subject. He covers the initial allegations against Vic. It’s a neutral video where he emphasized the sheer amount of allegations out there.
https://youtu.be/_-PdfuoJ4x4
February 2nd is the next video. Flash covers Vic’s response. It’s still mostly neutral perhaps slanted a little in Vic’s favor.
https://youtu.be/nBTpVTNiPwU
February 6th Flash makes another video. In it he mentions he did a video the day before covering Rooster Teeth letting Vic go. I couldn’t locate that video. He’s still neutral but he’s pissed Funimation bent the knee to the Twitter brigade. In the video he mentions Renfamous being involved, he puts ANN on blast for calling Clownfish TV a nazi and using photos out of context. Mike Toole is a tool.

There are three more videos between Feb 7th-10th. In this video from the 10th he’s on Vics side. He shouts out Hero Hei’s channel and One Angry Gamer for covering it. He’s still all over ANN’s bullshit. He also calls out Neil Kaplan.

The first video of Tug that I could find is February 8th. I only watched a couple minutes of it where he talks about Marzgurl.
https://youtu.be/q8cudVMQLlM
On February 11th Nick does his first livestream on the matter. His guest is Doug. I’m still listening to this again. He does mention early on in the video that YellowFlash is in the chat and has some more information.
February 15th is Nick’s next coverage. It’s a panel with Gator, Anime Outsiders and YellowFlash. I haven’t rewatched this one yet.
https://youtu.be/_KQ0tBHKOSA
I’m still sure it was Cody who alerted Nick, they’ve both talked about it. I don’t have any information on if any of the other youtubers were in contact with Nick in the lead up to his first coverage. The only time Rekieta’s name is mentioned in the videos I rewatched is Flash says something along the lines of “hopefully Mignogna will drop some legal documents soon that can be covered by Nick Rekieta or somebody”.

Are we really all that shocked a Muslim philosophy student said this?

For outstanding performance in a third year grade philosphy course. The 2018-2019 winner is:
  • Amar-Kareem Puff Guimba
Fixed it for you. Because this guy's a philosophy student the same way Burger King is a five-star restaurant.

EDIT: Removed the other names because they didn't say anything stupid, unlike this guy.

Ah, now I can recognize people again and not just pretend to.

Nick has been pretty adamant that he believes that the defendants thought Vic would kill himself in response to what they did. I believe he implied that his inside source had mentioned as such?

In other words, the failed assassination plot was a year ago.

It's not an inside source, it's that if you know Vic, evidently, it's extremely obvious that it's his despair horizon to have all his friends and fans turn on him and isolate him so he has no one to turn to. Observe how Monica didn't trash talk Vic when he contacted her asking what he did wrong, she did not reply. When Rooster Teeth fired him, they passed around an internal memo that 'accidentally' leaked saying 'none of us will answer him' when he asked 'why', and Funimation also just gave him a short phonecall. They went so out of their way to snub him and refuse to communicate that they broke contract and fired him via phone instead of a letter.

If you consider the things he's said about people who feel alone, or how people need someone to talk to, and the way he responds to people who feel alone and hopeless...and then you consider the very specific method in which they destroyed Vic...the most likely conclusion is that they expected him to kill himself. Bear in mind that Monica and Sabat and others early on were very adamant about how they were friends with him and only wanted him to get help and correct himself. If he'd happened to just...go ahead and kill himself from it, well...they'd all be deeply grieved, shocked that they never realized what a deeply troubled man he was. Whether they kept heaping dirt on him under the guise of grief or whether they immediately backed off and acted penitent, like Monica saying "If only I'd tried a little harder, if only I'd noticed and come to him in private before all this blew up...!" they'd come out looking like roses and never have to worry about backing up any of their claims, especially the 100s of women one.

If they just wanted him pushed out, they could have done that without slamming the door in his face and purposefully blacking out on him while publicly pretending they weren't. They intentionally cut him off, and considering the psychological damage that would do to specifically him...it's hard to believe it wasn't intentional.

Shame about that tactic, they forgot that Vic has actual balls and actually fought back.
Now the spotlight extended onto everyone else involved in this deep shit, and everyone's sins and hypocrisies are exposed to the Internet. Though it will probably take time for them to feel the consequences.

Yes. I, a straight woman, fantasize about harassing women.

Thank God almighty he had friends and even strangers that reached out to him and told him to fight back. He wasn't going to. But once he was given hope he started to dig in and fight and I'm proud of him.

The video is up, if I have time I will add a TL;DR later.
I have to watch it first.
TL;DR
Gothic is accusing someone of being a pedo without proof.
Gothic Sushi made a KF account to ask for help, because "she got attacked", Truth isn't a attack btw.
Gothic sushi made kinda racist comments, so she lied again about that one.
Bringing up year old to get someone doxed, but is whining now because people use her old drama and getting doxed.
She's making up that people make death threats against her without proof.

Crazy people have a solution for 'oppressed groups' bucking the narrative, and it's the term 'internalized'. You may be a straight woman, but because of SOCIETY you hate women and want them to be raped, because although you don't realize it, you hate yourself. You'll never be made whole until you hate men and fear eye rape at all times.

I remember when Ty didn't know much about the Farms and didn't realize exactly who he was asking a favor from, when he asked the Farms to dig up stuff about Cohen. That was a fun midweek thing.

He asked information gatherers to gather information! No one showed him the (*) about the personality of said gatherers until afterward.
