Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Most of them fell apart or became shills, with the 501st suffering both fates. Only ones left aren't that big or well organized except for one but I doubt Disney would ever bother to listen to them. If Lucasfilm ever grew desperate enough for fan input, they'd just hold a poll or write-in vote thing and everyone would just say 501st despite those fuckers being a completely hollow shell of what they used to be. And that's without getting into all the internal drama going on with them.
Ironically enough then 501st becoming a shell of their former self ended up being the fate of the stormtrooper unit named after it after the Battle of Endor until it was restored by the Hand of Thrawn

I think all of Lucasfilm needs to be replaced now.
You know what I wouldn't mind a bit if they made another Clone Wars show that stepped on Filoni's, he deserves it at this point.
I just hate his entire persona. The stupid fucking cowboy hats. Dude, you're from Pennsylvania, not Montana.

You never rustled cattle and this isn't the 19th century anymore.

Combined with his bizzare obsession with wolves, makes me think he wanted to be a fag park ranger than an animator.

The world would be a better place if he did. Fucking autistic dork...

501st was always gay. Cosplayers are gay...

I didn't notice the wolf pin on his hat till now.

Ironic Genndy's Clone Wars has more over the top action and feats, yet is still far more grounded and more connected with Revenge of The Sith then Filoni's.
Part of wishes they released Genndy Wars on Blu Ray, But I do not want to see that insulting legends logo over it, and that would mean it would be taken off of Youtube.

I would love for the announcement that declared Filoni Wars non-canon, but that is a dream that will never be as long Filoni and Hidalgo are stuck at Lucasfilm.

And while were dunking on Filoni, I'm going to leave this here.

Filoni looks like a perfect candidate to get mee too'd.

Jesus, look at Filoni's dead eyes....

Wait... how can they be adept at creating armies if the galaxy is at peace? Lol
The Republic was at peace, in a general sense, because there was no major, galaxy-spanning conflict up and running prior to the Battle of Geonosis, but the Republic did not claim jurisdiction over the entire Galaxy Far, Far Away (a significant plot-point in The Phantom Menace, after all) and even within the Republic itself, there were all sorts of smaller, more limited conflicts like the civil war on Galidraan or the so-called Stark Hyperspace War (both of which ended up coming around to bite the Republic in the ass, in one way or another). The brief hostilities between Naboo and the Trade Federation also fit into this category (and @GeneralFriendliness can probably correct me if I'm wrong, but my recollection is that the LucasArts TPM tie-in game Star Wars: Starfighter goes into some detail explaining how fighter pilots in the Royal Guard of otherwise-peaceful Naboo gain combat experience by basically hiring out as the SW equivalent of Rhodesian mercenary pilots in the African "brush wars" of the 1970s/80s/90s), so there was definitely an existing market for military equipment of all sorts in the pre-Clone Wars Republic (and in areas outside of the Republic itself, like Hutt Space, the Hapes Consortium, the Mandalore Sector and so forth).

Oh man. They should have made clones the bad guy army. Given the other separatists factions you could buy them fielding large manufacturing projects.
But that would undermine a great deal of the pathos and tragic hubris of the late Republic-era Jedi Order that taking control of a mysterious and conveniently battle-ready army out of nowhere represents.

Yeah and it points to they were aware of plot holes somewhat from the start.
Are they plot holes, though? 🤔

Poor George. Episode 1 should have been the set up - a brief spurt of attempted rebellion that is put down by the Republic, and teaches both sides to prepare. Then E2 is the turning point where the bad guys roll out their decade long build up and the Republic has to scramble to contend with them. The you have E3 with the conclusion.
Minus the Republic/Jedi being taught "to prepare" for a future conflict, that's kind of how the Prequels actually played out...

Never really thought of it as a cover name. I thought that Sifo Dyas was actually working with Dooku, but wanted to use the clones to defeat Sidious. Dooku’s allegience to the Sith means that Dyas had to die in order to keep the Jedi and the Republic in the dark.
I initially figured that Sifo-Dyas was an alias used by Dooku (since he also arranged, under the name Tyrannus, for Jango to be the clone template), but when I found out that Sifo-Dyas was supposed to be an actual Jedi Master whom Dooku helped commission the creation of the clones (hence the Kaminoans' total non-surprise at a Jedi showing up to look into the status of the clone army ten years later) and then betrayed and killed, I liked that explanation much better.

And while were dunking on Filoni, I'm going to leave this here.

What a couple of fat dorks.

I don't like the way that he's looking at Pablo in that pic...

I suspect he wishes he could get mauled by wolves
I'd hate add to add to this but...

There is an awful lot of wolf on man violence in Aladdin's Rebels... So its kind of hard to deny. He claims a lot of his "inspiration" comes from Princess Mononoke (his "favorite movie of all time"), claiming that Ahsoka was based on the titular princess and that the wolves being a "cosmic linchpin" and embodiment of the Force is supposed to be a reference to their important role as nature spirits in Monoke, even though that feels like forcing in a completely different set of rules and lore into an unrelated setting simply because he has a really weird fixation to that film. Even the Gods of SW in Aladdin's Rebels now have some sort of prominent relationship with wolves despite that never being a thing in any media, not even Filoni Wars until now. Ahsoka's role as a divine savior of sorts is also based on Monoke's role, as well as Gandalf, with him even claiming that the film is a matriarchal take back of male storytelling or something that he wants more stories in Disney Wars to be about. Even the wolves in Aladdin's Rebels are straight up ripping the designs of the wolves in the film and their over realistic design really clashes with the ridiculously simplistic design of everything else in the show, so you can tell Filoni put more importance on these than necessary. And before anyone claims I'm needlessly hating on the guy or wishing he dies, I'm not. I'm just pointing out the info and that he needs to tone it down on the wolves and favoritsm, as that's what lead to Karen Traviss and Kevin J. Anderson (for his weird favoritsm towards Natasi Daala) getting a lot of criticism back in the day. Also RK Outpost made a video on Filoni's anti-Luke and pro-Kennedy comments.

Again, not that I disagree, but boy does that all sound more exciting than a "trade dispute" to hang the first movie on. To quote Jeff Goldblum: "Are there going to be any wars, in this star wars of yours?"

But that would undermine a great deal of the pathos and tragic hubris of the late Republic-era Jedi Order that taking control of a mysterious and conveniently battle-ready army out of nowhere represents.

I honestly can't be sure your level of seriousness to determine my laughter routine.

Let me put it another way using a different plot point:
"We must train Anakin because a prophecy says so." Isn't tragic or hubris - it's plot railroading the characters.
"We must train Anakin because he's so naturally talented he's teaching himself some force tricks on his own and could be very dangerous and our way is the only way." THAT's getting closer to it.

To get pathos, tragedy, hubris, etc you need to have the characters be able to choose a path to salvation, but unable to do so because of dogma, characters flaws, etc - something that could be overcome, but we know wouldn't.

If you wanted to make it all those words about the Jedi, you'd have to like... off the top of my circuits, say have a scene of Obi-Wan testifying to the Senate how freakin' suspicious the army is and that it shouldn't be used. Then a senator counters about how all the paperwork looks legit, they only have Obi-Wan's testimony, plus this was all set up by some other Jedi (Sifo-whatsizname). Then Obi-Wan is torn between possibly tarnishing Sifo's reputation, maybe even letting out some secret of the Jedi into the public, and preventing this army. He sides with the Jedi's traditions, reasoning that the Force can help them overcome whatever danger it represents.

Hm. Really episode 2 should have been about Obi-Wan investigating Sifo and Dooku missing shouldn't it? It is hilarious to think that if Nute Gunroy never demanded Padme to be killed, then Jango wouldn't have gone and left behind a clue to the planet with the ready-made military and Palpatine would have never gotten his war...

they plot holes, though? 🤔

Ok, technically not, it's more faulty character motivation.

Minus the Republic/Jedi being taught "to prepare" for a future conflict, that's kind of how the Prequels actually played out...

Not on screen, just in all the patchworking other writers had to do to get Lucas' vision to actually work.

Just take a minute a think about the original alias. It was going to be "Sido-Dyas." It's literally Darth "Sidious" pronounced with a thick accent. Replacing 1 letter led to a whole new character being created. C'mon! I thought this was a board dedicated to savoring autism. That's some top quality there. (It also, again, means the entire prequels have to run on prophecy - which is weak-ass shit.)

It would have been great if the alias used was "Bob." I can see Obi-Wan now... "Bob? What a strange name. I've never heard of anyone with a name like that."

I'd hate add to add to this but...
