I wonder how many of these people actually give a shit about mental health, child welfare and social responsibility or are disavowing Nan simply because they don’t want to get dragged down with her.

They recognize Nan’s name and reputation are covered in a spray of garbage that’s almost impossible to wash off and they just want to step out of the way so as not to get any on them. Maybe this whole thing has made me even more cynical, but I see this as a lot of people not wanting their own online livelihoods ruined or wanting to avoid their own skeletons being dragged out of the closet.

The way Nan makes her apology videos is so meme-worthy. The deep sighing where I feel like I can smell her ciggy breath through the screen, the cave lighting. The voice is a lot like the voice I put on to call in sick to work if I just don't feel like going in. The sympathetic staring, the blinking. It all seems so forced and rehearsed until she starts to talk about herself. For example, in her instagram live video, she seems to have to painfully force every apology, and yet when she begins talking about how this scandal coming out is ruining the channel she worked so hard to create, how this forum is victimizing her, how the predator who abused her is facing some consequences (which I think is just a calculated ploy for sympathy), when she talks about how hurt she is by this, she kind of lights up. I'd love for a body language expert to analyze these videos.

The self importance of some of the Nan/Nin cult following blows my mind.
In particular right now, D.I.D. and Me, is trying to capitalize on the fact that a predator has been exposed to get some secondhand fame and the attention of Nan/Nin.
In this video they go into detail about how special they feel that they were mentioned on here and that they want 'Kiwi Farms' to come after them and dares the users on here to dox her.
It's like watching a trainwreck, you are horrified yet captivated, by the level of cognitive dissonance and self important 'notice me' waffling. Like seriously, people are legitimately laughing at you because they can see right through your act. I hesitate to give them the attention that they want but honestly, its too funny not to share.

Desperate for attention that any semblance of attention will do. Criticism isn't hate. Hate involves actually caring about a subject.

The funny thing is that a lot of the reports of DID hospitalizations sound JUST LIKE schizophrenia, but when the patient is threatened with hospitalization, suddenly they "switch" into the responsible "alter" to avoid being committed.

Some other D.I.D. influencers are calling her out, so maybe not all of them have a complete lack of common sense.

Nan getting called out

Wow... didn't see Fragmented Psyche coming out like that. Good for her. I'm glad she's decided to prioritise her children's safety. Her 'we should have trusted our gut' line in her Twitter statement sounds like some heavy back pedalling but I respect the risk she took by going against the tide. That probably gave the DID fans the go ahead to start questioning rather than blindly supporting.

I find it interesting that this has all come to happen shortly after we listed Nan's timeline. All of this information was available, can it really have just been ignorance? I know Rivkah has been watching this thread and surely would have seen the full timeline, and she is very close with Fragmented Pscyhe. It all reads as damage control to me.

Just as I was typing this you replied with similar thoughts. I can't help but feel this is a distraction from the backlash they received over dressing up as babies. I just think that part is funny rather than problematic as they say but in a community made up of the most fragile SJWs anything is a scandal.
