Honestly, I don't think she is. I don't listen to her music it, but I had recently gone through her social media (because I was suspicious a bit) and couldn't find her following Tearzah anywhere or being followed by her.

I think it's likely she's seen Tearzah's art before, cuz I see very minor resemblance, but I don't think she's a copy cat at all. Just unfortunately lumped in because that pastel goth style has because so pervasive in the last several years.

I don't think it's fair to look at someone who has never spoke about, interacted with, or acknowledged Tearzah to be a copy cat just because of the fact that the edgy parts of her style are widely used now.

But if anyone has anything they can show me I missed, I would be really grateful! I just haven't found any proof for myself that she's a copycat rather than it just being a coincidence of the genre.

I know you guys already did like ++40 of these, but Salem/Tea just posted this and... Bruh.
This was a commission lol. The legs are literally broken, her body is like 30% thighs... I guess there's not really too much to say about it.

Just for shits and to kinda see where it started going downhill, I went back to Tearzahs 2014/2013 art to compare to what she's posting nowadays, and I actually find a lot of it kinda nice looking, at least compared to what she draws today.

See Tearzah actually attempting dynamic posing, decent color theory/shading and at least trying to do backgrounds. Her art actually had some personality and life to it. Also, notice the quality of the commissioned work. (blue hair)

Right around here is where the turns tabled, and we start seeing more of UwU abused dollie nonbinary Ash. The colors still hurt my eyes but I find the lineless style and the colors she chose way more appealing.

I genuinely thought that 2016 Tearzah was the worst era of her art, but after seeing the shit she's been posting this year, I changed my mind. Stump Ash still haunts my nightmares.

Someone mentioned Tearzah attempting realism, and this is the closest attempt to realism I could find.

I feel like 2017/2018 is pretty non-memorable, in the sense that it basically looks the same to shit she posted yesterday, if not better. Which is weird, because you would think that you'd be getting better and not worse at art by now, drawing at the frequency that Tea does.

My scholarly research has lead me to conclude that Tearzah is actually is capable of making semi-decent art, but due to basically not giving a fuck and completely giving up, she now draws like shit. Coincidentally, when her art started to stagnate/decline in 2015 is when she started drawing basically nothing but Ash.

One thing I can give credit to several copycats is that they can depict Tea's style much better than she herself can. That's strong potential, but woefully wasted if the behaviors remain. :optimistic: I wonder if any of them for once looked into some of her earlier works and take inspiration from those rather than artworks post-2014. :optimistic:

I like Tea's 2013 art. You can tell they are at least trying and experimenting, which is one of the best things you can do as a beginner. While the anatomy looks a bit wonky in places, it's nice to look at with the poses, colors, and shading. Hell, I even like the hellish 2015-2016 era more than the current one, as back then at least their art was more interesting to look at, compared to their more recent pieces that seem bland and absolutely devoid of any personality.

did Tea shade the hair? Any thing with the hair????? I cant see very well because she colored it so dark and the background doesnt help me see any better at wtf is going on.
The only thing I like on that is the leaves(?) And the cloth and thats only cause I can see them without turning the brightness up. Also that uncolored thing at her hip....

Either the hair is just barely shaded or those are jpg artifacts, and it's a solid mass of black. You can see a very subtle purple glow on the edges of the hair touching the background.

ETA: In other news, there's a character (and not an update to the lore document, which would be more useful) with a bit of information about the catgirl creation company. It's something like WaifuLabs, but for catgirls you can actually live with. It also reminds me of the fluffy ponies (which have a thread on here, iirc).
