Edit: Maybe out of line here, but I think we've gone far enough into the rabbit hole to establish that Chloe and Nan's diagnosis of DID is full of shit at this point. I can't imagine someone is going to come in with a new hot take on how either is faking their shit. Is it going to be too much to ask that nobody really discuss any further that their proclaimed diagnosis is shit and work more on finding more out or watching the events unfold?

i haven’t seen anybody bring this point up yet, but i want to chime in about it.

earlier in the thread, chloe’s posts about losing weight due to stress or whatever from covid we’re mentioned.

she’s allegedly had an ED for a while, right? even i know that in the ED recovery community/ mental heath community of which she pretends to be an expert in, you aren’t supposed to reveal numbers gained, lost, or your current weight so it doesn’t make others feel bad. people only do that shit on pro-ana forums and whatnot, but chloe couldn’t WAIT to reveal how ~frail and tiny and dainty~ she was because she’s ~suchhhhhhh a stressed little precious girl!!~

it just irked the shit out of me. her impressionable/ delusional fan base really HAD to know that she’s a 100 pound fairy? NO. narcissism at its finest.

The best part about that post (besides yeah, she's obviously trying to humblebrag that she's 109lb in a fucking post about ED as a 'mental health advocate') is that she's obviously short (next to Anthony Padilla 5'9, she's probably 5'4 or less) and she edited out the body fat and BMI. Because judging from how she looks, she's obviously got a pretty high-normal body fat % which for her is probably embarrassing. And her BMI (at her height when I check is almost 20 which is completely healthy. But uwu no one knows that 109 for her height is totally normal, if they did they wouldn't wwworry.

Studies have shown that sexual abuse has no correlation to the development of anorexia. It has been difficult to pin down an overwhelming commonality between cases, but the most common factor is behavioral contagion (family, friends, media, etc). Other than that, anorexia is most commonly linked to obsessive compulsive disorders, and can be from unresolved conflicts in childhood or adolescence, like other OCDs can be. Mainly this can be tied to children who are expected to be "perfect", whether that pressure is real or imagined. Anorexia is generally directly tied to the obsession with being thin itself, while bulimia is generally not.

Bulimia is a form of self-harm as a coping mechanism and is overwhelmingly related to childhood trauma.

My guess would be EDNOS with some overlap between the two. From what I've seen, it looks like she has some disordered eating habits that fluctuate severity-wise.

She has stated herself she has struggled with anorexia specifically, and she has no history of childhood sexual abuse. Not sure why anyone would speculate it's something other than anorexia. Chloe is definitely the type of person to join a pro-ana forum and just become anorexic to be cool.

EDNOS is a technicality catchall for patients that don't meet full diagnostic criteria. EDNOS is not really used outside of what's in someone's file. If a woman has EDNOS, but it's because she is obsessed with being thin and restricting, but still has a monthly period, she attends group to deal with her anorexic behavior, not EDNOS.

Saying someone has EDNOS is practically meaningless because it's a kitchen sink of ED's like pica, someone obsessed with gaining muscle mass, or someone with bulimia who doesn't eat more than a certain amount of food in during a binge/purge session.

Let's just agree that she starves herself and/or restricts calories excessively to lose weight, and there's no social pressure from an abuser that is causing it. She's absolutely not bulimic.

That’s the point. She seemingly doesn’t meet the criteria for anorexia, even now that it’s been relaxed. I’m sure she’d post more about her horrible eating disorder if it was actually diagnosable as anorexia. I do think she probably could be considered for an ednos diagnosis however
