Nah, he's "asexual", which in reality, means one of two things:

I think it's possible to have the third option of a severe hormone imbalance that completely kills libido. The cause of the imbalance could be serious however and is the least desirable scenario. I actually think that's a pretty clever character trait,at least in a cartoony sense. Game devs have to manipulate players into doing what the game requires without letting them get bored. They have to understand how players will behave in certain situations and condition them to react a certain way. It makes sense for Shane to know how to program games designed to be destructively addictive.

What doesn't make sense is why Shane does poorly in school and isn't treated like a celebrity. Other adults seem to lose their knowledge and creativity, hence why they go to school. But Shane clearly hasn't lost his, so I don't get why he's not considered one of the "cool" adults. He could keep programming games, gain the respect of kids, and have a decent life in this universe.

Enter has no logical reason behind this because kids would idolize anyone who does cool things. Like does Enter not know that kids actually do look up to adults mainly people who would make video games, superheroes, and whatnot. Kids don't find other kids cool or look up to them given children dislike other children characters in things like Transformers and whatnot. This further shows that Enter is very out of touch with the demographic he wants to teach about that it's okay to be adults.

Also I finally get why Enter thinks that kids would be fine with growing up by watching his show and it's that they could still be kids despite being older given that kids have all the power in the world. That is literally the only explanation that can make sense with Enter's autism but if he doesn't mean that then how would Growing Around teach you that being an adult is okay when adults are more restricted than actual adults in the real world.

To Enter's credit, the scripts were easier to swallow back when he was shooting for 11-minute episodes. It's only when he tried to make the show deeper and more intellectual that things went south.
