Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

It really says something about this thread when slapfighting moves it further along to the 100 page mark than its actual topic.
The issue is that a lot of Trump Enslavement Syndrome is.... rather blasé. Blind worship or blind hatred are recipes for funny irrational behavior, but you can only get so much mileage out of boomers posting "Donald Trump is the chosen one!" on facebook until it gets repetitive.

So honest question: Why is it that, in a site who's primary focus is to archive and mock the actions of stupid people/groups, are boomers 'not worth it'?

And just to add more fuel to the fire, the TDS thread has it easy since they get their spergouts from twitter, while TES spergery is done on facebook and IRL

Also how did he get his power scooter through the grass?

Probably because, regardless of if it is a conscious or unconscious impluse, they feel the need to keep their "side" from looking too bad... and qtards look really bad. That's just my guess though.

What I love about this is that QAnon believers are not 'radical' in any way as the controlled media love to suggest. It is true that QAnon nuts believe things that are not true and have killed a few people, but there are a lot of them. I doubt they're significantly more dangerous than the regular mainly founding-stock American, mainly older, slightly mentally ill demographic that they are sampled from.

They simply believe in an exaggerated form of conservatism.

Regular MAGA types believe that Trump is actually building a wall that prevents crossings across the Mexican border and arresting more illegal aliens than Obama, when neither of those things are true.

QAnon believers believe that he is following through on his promises to lock [Hillary Clinton] up, as he also promised- but that it's all secret.

At least the QAnon people can argue that the failure to have any proof of their hopes- and Trump's pre-election promises- actually being realized is because everything is being kept secret. The regular conservative has no such excuse, and is far more ridiculous than a QAnon loon.

So if they just said that the wall was built, but it is a secret wall, then they would be as smart as the QAnons?

There's also the issue of how much effort it takes. r/the_donald shuttered, 8chan's off the clearnet, so is the daily stormer, and if you post about magatards from this site you'll just get them reeing about how not butthurt they are.

Everyone else uses discord these days, which is also part of why there's not a lot of new threads. Look at here or lolcow general, there's like 8 threads out of 50 from the last 2 years.

Well, 'boomer' content is just...bland. It'd be one thing if it was like "Haha, look at this", but it always turns into "Watch me deconstruct this boomer's opinion. I'm very smart".

TBF, it happens a lot in the TDS thread. I just end up scrolling past all of it because it's not entertaining. It's boring, bordering on smug. Nobody needs to make bullet lists explaining why a FB post or tweet is wrong.

See, your post for instance. A pic with a short and sweet comment. Not a paragraph of "I'm very smart". Good stuff.

What Trump is getting is 10 times worse than what Obama got, Ted Nugent made an offhand comment about wanting Obama to "suck on his machine gun", Kathy Griffin meanwhile goes as far as to create a fake severed Trump head and arrange a photoshoot with it.

Your garden variety liberal thinks Trump is literally Hitler, not every conservative hated Obama as drastically even if they disliked him.

Another key difference is Trump Derangement Syndrome has the backing of the mainstream media, CNN spins conspiracy theories just as wacky as whatever your uncle shared on Facebook back in the Obama days, meanwhile Obama had the mainstream media eating out of the palm of his hand.

Look, the "Tea Party" types from back in the day could be real idiots and you're right that this kind of derangement started under Clinton, but regardless of who started this the shoe is on the other foot now and the left is just as embarrassing and idiotic as the Tea Party was, but I think they're even worse because there's an extreme level of viciousness about Trump that was only matched by the most extreme of Obama haters.

Not to mention did we live in a world under Obama where conservatives networked together to try to get liberals fired from their jobs and "deplatformed"?

I'm not necessarily a fan of Trump, but even I can admit that he's getting unfairly treated. Still don't think he's doing a good job, but holy shit did we dodge a bullet with Hillary.

Also the humor of TDS is the sheer tard rage involved. There's less tard rage when your guy basically won and looks like he's going to win again.

I find most TES humor from the mental gymnastics of it though. The number of people I've personally seen that have both confederate flags and 'love it or leave it' bumper stickers is pretty fucking funny. Mental gymnastics are fun to me because it requires you to go out of your own mindset to figure out what the fuck they're thinking, while tard rage is normally just babies making mountains out of molehills.

I agree about TDS humor regarding tard rage but the goalposts have been moved too far. Nowadays anybody that has come out against him is considered to have TDS.

What's even more bizarre it's that people would fly it in Union states. If it's not a symbol of prejudice, why are you flying it where they were fighting against them?

I saw more 'Build the wall' signs when I was in Missouri than when I was in Texas. Like do you want it built on the fucking Mason-Dixon line or something?
