As the bow being a womans weapon. It's not something I've really thought about, but now that I think about it, it tends to be the weapon for non-combat characters. As for Hunger Games, the film came out in 2012. You know what else came out in 2012 that featured a bow?
Fucking everything.
Let us list the many males, real and fictional, who use bows shall we?
Green Arrow, Hawkeye, Legolas, practically
every Elf ever for that matter, real-life militaries around the world and throughout time, Bard the Bowman, Aragorn, Boromir, bows have used by men in unnumbered amounts of Fantasy works.
I could go on but that would be redundant.
I'm not even angry, just amused and baffled by this particular hot take.
Like how did it get into Bob's peabrain that a bow is an inherently Feminine weapon?
It was the standard long-range weapon for thousands of years.
English Longbowmen were famous for their skill...and for having an utterly jacked drawing arm because of the sheer strength required to use a longbow.
By that standard a Bow is far more of a man's weapon.
Seriously though saying that a bow is an inherently Feminine weapon because of Katniss Everdeen is like saying that being a fighter pilot is an inherently Feminine role because of Captain Marvel.
I do suppose that is one more argument for the "Bob is autistic" crowd.
Only an absolute autist would let pop culture influence his worldview that much.
