Does it continue to rack up HOA fees for most of that?
Yes. Whoever is listed as the owner is responsible for paying them, so it'd be Dave right now, then MidFirst when they officially take possession, and finally whoever buys the property from them. The eventual buyer will not be held responsible for any payments that Dave failed to make.

So his sly message in the Mod Discord leaks about 'allowing' the foreclosure so he could save money ASAP is another bit of Pignosis and him completely misunderstanding this shit?

No, once the property is out of his name, he's no longer responsible for the HOA fees, but that could take a little time. The main thing to laugh at his whole "allowing" the group that was getting a court order to do it.

I forgot who it was, but someone offered the explanation that DSP is too much of a win-win for Twitch not to keep around. He has a disproportionately high amount of subs that go right into Twitch's pockets. At the same time, his view count is pretty low. Certainly too low to be considered a "top streamer" or whatever bullshit you want to call it. So Phil acting like an asshole everyday and breaking ToS doesn't reflect all that poorly on Twitch since there's barely anyone outside of his stream to care.
I don't really like how your popularity (or lack thereof in his case) decides how rules and guidelines are enforced, but what can you do?
If you go back and look at March 2020 Phil made Twitch $1,850.50 from subs and $591.46 from bits cheered in his channel totaling $2,441.96 he made them in March, extend that for 12 months and Phil makes Twitch $29,303.52 per year. In the grand scheme of things that's peanuts to Twitch and they would absolutely shit-can him if he became a problem, but it's also not nothing and could paying one of their employee's salaries all by itself.
It's that time again. Here's the monthly roundup for March 2020, sponsored by Lysol. Usual caveats apply: 1) cheers and subs are 99.99% accurate; 2) tip total is pretty much accurate, but is the gross amount, NOT including fees; 3) tips breakdown is only the tips I bothered to tabulate. I'm not going to be hunting down every single $1 tip.

Money in Phil's Pocket: $2067.31 (Feb cheers, received March 15th) + $1,583 (Feb subs, March 15th) + $403.33 (Feb Patreon, 1st week of March) + $785-$2,355 (Youtube $1-$3 CPM, ~March 15th) + $5,027.44 (March tips) = $9866.08 - $11,436.08

Money "Earned" During March: $5,027.44 (tips) + $1,478.66 (cheers) + $1,850.50 (subs) + $910-$2,730 (Youtube; 910k views, $1-$3 CPM) + $390.99 (Patreon) = $9,657.59 - $11,477.59

Detailed Breakdown:

Youtube: 910k views = $910-$2730 ($1-$3 CPM)

Final money line is: 377.40
Total from new pledges: 13.59
Total pledge increases (including new) during the month is: 13.59

Twitch:

651 subs in chat, 724 subs total. Hit 730 or so, so Phil is supposed to do the top 2 poll winners as playthroughs. Let's see if that happens, or if the "Tier 2" goal gets memory-holed.
297 gifted subs, with a little under half being done anonymously. Represents 41% of the total subs in March. My guess for the 75 subs near the end of the month is either Private Bishop of Mercy or that M1ster Johnson guy who did some mini-whaling the last couple of days.

This one was a little surprising. Papavera is the top cheerer at $55 for the month. Phil has more or less moved people away from cheering at this point.

No surprise that bishop_of_mercy is #1 here. Same with godzilla, who tipped $200 once (hi jeff), floridapumpkin, and vergota69 (LOL PENIS). Note as well that "troll" tips are the 6th highest tipper here. Stop.

Total tips = $ 4352.56
Total tips assuming $0.30 + 2.9% fees on each = $ 4070.64
Tips under $1: 93 totaling 93.00
Tips between $1 and $5: 256 totaling 994.62
Tips between $5 and $10: 79 totaling 611.05
Tips between $10 and $20: 49 totaling 761.29
Tips between $20 and $50: 34 totaling 975.60
Tips above $50: 8 totaling 917.00

Including this to show that 1) the Paypal fees are relatively negligible and 2) even assuming all ~$700 of missing tips were $1 or less, Phil mostly relies on a small group of large tippers to make the bulk of his money.

The above image is my 12-month rolling average of Phil's Twitch earnings. The fitted line assumes asymptotic behavior (and has a $0 point that's not shown). Currently, the fitting predicts that Phil's asymptote is around $8200 from Twitch. Basically, that's the best he can hope to get on average from his Twitch right now. I think the data bears it out. His "good months" rely on having one or more begathons to get more money squeezed out.

As always, if you have questions, comments, suggestions, and so, feel free to @ me or (preferably) PM me.

Imagine playing quality, entertaining games for your boring old job that you hate and being addicted to gacha games in your free time. That would be like an A-list porn star heading home from a shoot and picking up a 50 year old crack addicted prostitute on the way.

I would be willing to bet my bottom dollar Phillip has cried himself to sleep on more than one occasion. It is so obvious that the self loathing is real. Poorly hidden, I might add. I keep seeing comments on the YouTube videos following the bankruptcy such as "he will get out of this scott free, DSP weasels out of everything, the only thing left after a nuclear holocaust will be the roaches and DSP, etc." I honestly don't care if he does make it through this unharmed. He is paying the ultimate price every single day by having to live as Phillip Burnell. That is a fate worse than death. Somewhere in that diseased brain...he knows it.

Phil is the Antigamer. I can't think of anyone who embodies opposition to the ethos of Gaming more than him, except maybe your typical gaming journalist.

I think hell for phil's pov is quite similar to the the situation he's now in, except with tips and cheers disabled.

im on page 268 of this ever growing thread and i havent seen anyone ask yet (might have overlooked it since posts are blending together at this point) but is it possible philbert is using the money to pay off kats debts? He did say that she has her own debt/bills from before she moved in so what if hes paying her debt to set them up to ride things out on her credit until his is fixed? im almost positive it would cost tons less to pay her stuff off instead of working to actually fix his own debts. he had this idea to let payments fall off since april and even though he has received large payments he is still somehow broke with no items to show for that missing money so it could be possible.

If they were going to try such a big brain plan they wouldn't have gotten married. Plus Khets credit was probably garbage with the evictions and court judgements and everything else we know about her. Phil doesn't plan ahead or make plans that require long term effort he likes quick fixes. The most he's ever accomplished with long term plans are to not tell complete strangers he had a pet cat for 7 months and that he was getting married for maybe a couple months.

If DSP thought ahead he wouldn't have gotten married until after all risk of bankruptcy was gone. Since they're married he has to use her money to pay off his debt if he gets converted to Chapter 13. Oh well, sucks to be her. He's gonna get that "second income" out of her whether she likes it or not.

Actually that post was asking if Phil's disappearing $100K a year was going to pay KAT'S debts and that is why he's broke, not the other way around.

Since he has kept his finances as separate from hers as possible when married---not even filing a joint tax return and taking advantage of those tax benefits---this is almost certainly not the case. Phil's credit card debts are documented in the thread (over $140,000) and those cards were opened years before he even met Kat, and he also bought his homes before he met Kat St. Jean Burnell III.

I discussed this upthread: she can't include his income on a credit card or loan application without also including his bankruptcy. Without including his income, she only makes about $20k/year and would only be able to get maybe $5k-10k in credit even if she took out multiple cards. Phil's definitely low enough to use her for credit/debt laundering, but the "savings" he would get if he did that are peanuts compared to his spending and credit habits.

For the question of "where the hell did the money go then", the answer is Bejeweled: WWE Edition. The fine folks in the WWE Champions thread have shown pretty conclusively that his gacha (basically online gambling) addiction is eating up probably a few thousand/month. Once his account on that game leaked everything else fell into place.

Kat 'works' to pay off her own debts, dood.

The only way Phil is supporting his wife is that he buys everything they need so she can pay minimums on her credit cards and bank the rest.

If she was smart she paid off her ccs using her paychecks and puppy eyed daddy phil for allowance.

But there's no benefit to Phil to pay off her debts when his are even more fucked.

The only thing Kat's done is up his living expenses but considering how much he spends on gacha its clearly not enough to 'hurt' him financially.

She's not going to help with his bankruptcy either. If phil gets 13'd he's fucked because someone like Kat will simply stop working if she isnt keeping 'her own' money.

Correct. But if kat's working to have her own money and suddenly dries up I doubt she'd be willing to work for 'free' for however long the 13 goes.

The two of them getting married when they did under the circumstances they're in was the dumbest thing either one of them could have done. Even, hypothetically, if they're truly soulmates who realized they can't live without each other and are going to spend their lives together no matter what (which, come on, no), it still made zero sense to legally intertwine their financial lives right before a bankruptcy that's just for Phil. It's absurd how poorly this was all planned out and just how bad of an idea it it in every conceivable way. I know that's kind of DSP's MO, but this whole situation is stupid past the point of stupidity and to the point of being surreal.

There's no real winning scenario for the two of them as a couple. I geuss their best case scenario as a pair would be DSP's debt gets discharged without much fuss and he gets to keep all his stuff and then has a ton of extra money to help his wife out, which is insanely unlikely given how transparent his lies were, but I guess it's technically possible. But if that's how it all does play out, why wouldn't they have included her in the process and gotten her debts discharged as well? As far as I can tell, including her income and expenses wouldn't have changed anything about the end result. It wouldn't change what their exemptions were (since Phil tried to claim every single thing they own is for business use only, because he's an idiot). So she's just going to stay in debt while Phil gets cleared because he probably didn't even tell her what was happening.

Honestly it's a real shame that we don't know more about their relationship, because that would be where the juiciest entertainment in this story was for me. They got together so fast and under such weird circumstances, and we know so little about what they advertised to each other when dating. Did Kat think that Phil is a megaballer who was going to pamper her, only to have the rug pulled out from under her and told to get a job? Does she realize he's spending $5000 a month on mobile gambling with no possible jackpot while she works retail for a fraction of that amount? Or are they completely transparent with each other and together for legitimate reasons?

The sex can't be anything other than humiliating and disappointing. There's no financial benefit to being with someone who spends every spare dime on pictures of muscle men. DSP can't be providing a profound emotional connection, he's as selfish as they come and has the charisma of a wet fart. Stimulating intellectual conversation is out, he flushes bacon grease down the toilet, he's not giving any profound insight about the world or life or anything.

Has she realized just how much of a dud she hooked herself to? There's gotta be some heavy regret there.

Dumbo question, but is there an estimate for for how long the bankruptcy boner must be stroked? How much time does Phil have left? 1 year? 2? 5?The heat death of the universe?
