Feminist theory might play a part, particularly modern 4th wave feminism with it's attitude to sex work.
However what king describes in that article is a system. There were her agents, who brought her to a porn convention, and introduced her to producers, then directors, then finally the guys who she was supposed to have sex with. There was no one equivalent of a roofie pill which made her agree to everything.
When she worked for Legalporno, they flew her out of the country to a remote village in the Czech republic. In fairness she doesn't whinge about it, but being put in an environment where she doesn't know anyone, can't speak the language, and with a load of roided out men around her, probably made it more likely she'd just do what she was told.
IMO all feminist theory did for her, was allow her to convince herself that she was actually empowered and in control.
I went to read over the important figures in second wave feminism and found most of them were funding their degrees and feminist groups through illegal prostitution. No wonder so many of them were man hating lesbians. Outside of their University work, the only people they'd come into contact with were men who wanted illegal sex. And if things went bad, they couldn't go to the cops.
Really opens your eyes about where a lot of the "positive sex work" mantra came from.
Although you can argue, what kind of people were they if they were willing to do illegal sex work for a philosophy degree? Why couldn't they hold down regular job? Mental illness?

I'd probably say Germaine Greer prostituted early on as well, considering she said she went to University with no job and was unable to pay her bills, claimed she was raped at the time, and that her first marriage ended after 3 weeks after she was unfaithful seven times.

Tell me if I sound like a coomer, but isn't it kind of weird how some women in porn get breast reductions when they leave the industry? Like I don't think it's exactly normal to casually chop off a body part because it's associated with a certain period of their lives or because coomers act weird because it's relatively big.

Most likely that was the reason they got into the industry in the first place, the fastest way to make enough money for a decent surgeon, atleast for someone unskilled and unwilling to learn a proper proffession (which pretty much includes everyone that does porn).
As for why, I'm guessing backpains. If they do it to reduce the amount of attention they get, then doing porn seems counterproductive.

I just dislike plastic surgery in general and I feel like some people have a tendency to get surgery rather than look at other causes of their issues. Though maybe these women did do just that and find their breasts do cause back pain so who am I to say?

I haven't considered that, and with how prevalent plastic surgery is in that industry I wouldn't be shocked if women did just that. Put in some silicone, get that coomer money, and then turn in your boobs while you count your wealth.

Some say "back pain" in order to get a reduction covered under public health, (it usually more of a complex about standing out, and wanting to "fit in") then they realize they aren't earning money anymore and get implants again. So really they are just stupid liars.

Not only emotional issues, but women are very susceptible to media manipulation. I was at a government office the other day and the woman serving me had Kardashian-like lip injections, a few years ago women doing government work getting plastic surgery procedures would be unheard of. Now that women have the same earning power as men, companies have realized they can exploit their earnings. Don't you want to be desired? Attractive? You can with just a few thousands dollars.
Although it's useful when you can spot easily manipulated fools at a glance.
