I had a friend that became one. He was called Tomás, and he was a pretty lonely guy, so a few of my friends and I decided to take him under our wings, and we were those guys that were the weird cool kids that sometimes went playing sports but liked anime and video games. So, Thomas liked some anime and some videogames, but he liked Dr. Who and Homestuck as well. Needless to say, he quickly dived into tumblr. He began to view the use of whore and faggot as being the worst things ever, he began to become very weird and lonely (His ex girlfriend said he was becoming very reserved and just awkward to be around.). By the end of last school year, he claimed he had Gender Identity Disorder, which a counselor diagnosed him with (Not very SJW-y), and he continued to go down hill, he claimed he had numerous mental illnesses, and I'm pretty sure he became an otherkin. By the end of last semester, he had left school and was being homeschooled (Either because of his psychological problems or gender reassignment.). But he hasn't responded to any IMs I've sent him.

The elaborately dressed cosplay gothic Lolita scene? That stuff is pretty effort intensive. Lazy people can't even do it.

Most of them are pretty chill as far as I can tell but I'm basing that more on the /cgl/ board on 4chan than anything. I don't regularly read that board, but they sometimes have hilariously snarky threads on fandom-related issues that attract cross-board attention. For instance, a lot of the coverage of the disastrous Dashcon tumblr gathering happened on /cgl/ including that famous ballpit picture.

Lolitas tend to be even bitchier and snarkier than the rest, and they're as anti-SJW as the rest of 4chan. As you can imagine, SJWs don't handle being snarked at very well. I've seen the person @Meowthkip mentioned mocked there more than once when SJWs in the community came up.
