Speaking of GamerGate shit, The Quartering made a video about some youtuber getting her Paypal account hacked after she made a video criticizing Suzy Lu. The TLDW is "I can't prove this but..." I did notice a quote that stood out to me.

If this is the mentality Suzy Lu's detractors are going to have going into this, they are going to get their asses handed to them. While they're trying to take the high road and play victim, Suzy's waving shekels under Anita's Armenian nose saying "Hey you wanna be relevant again?"

There is now unquestionably something going on with Youtube regarding Lu, and not just because it let her violate company policy multiple times. Tons of channels get away with some violations for a while, but not multiple cases of DMCAs fired off by one of the most aggressive arms in Japan. At this point someone is actively putting Youtube on the hook for legal liability, which is surreal enough, but we also have shit like her being in Youtube Rewind, when she absolutely had nowhere near the support needed for that. Now, there are now threats being sent out now to content creators covering Lu that specifically mention that Youtube is on Lu's side, and that videos that are private will be targeted as well. We can't dismiss this as simple shitposting, even though it very well might be, considering what we've already seen at this point. Appropriately enough, Youtube staff have said nothing on the matter, and are ignoring it entirely. This alone is the part that makes perfect sense, as Youtube has a history of not being able to find its ass with both hands.

The crazy part is that I don't think Lu herself is even doing a lot of it.

The sheer volume and aggression of people who are white knighting her is absolutely surreal. I haven't seen this level of psychosis since the Autism Holy War, but the recent attacks against content creators covering the controversy shows the exact same hallmarks of what happened with Blowey Zoe's supporters, where anyone covering her in a remotely negative light would be subjected to DDoSes, electronic break-in attempts, death threats, and more. The implication is that the bulk of the shitstorm is being caused by Lu's fans, but it's not being helped at all by the fact that we know someone at Youtube has her back. For all we know, this is shit-stirrers attempting to inflate the shitstorm further, and until we start getting actual answers, we're not going to know anything for sure.

All the more reason for YouTube to die a painful death in the biggest lawsuit since Viacom try to cheat the system. But this time. Japan will have an excuse since not only YouTube is illegally breaking the law.

(I.E. recovering Suzy Lu's account after it got rightfully banned for life by TV Toyko.) and breaking Safety Harbor laws. Which you are not supposed to do even on videos that rightfully are copyrighted. (Like Japanese media.)

Like Video Games you can get away with because at least a company doesn't make money that way. That is when Japan will attack YouTube with the biggest joint lawsuit in entertainment media history.

A lot of her videos usually deal a lot more with product/content reviews, experiences trying out different services, etc. I suppose this whole situation is really starting to spiral far beyond just the commentary/drama channels covering it.

I'd sort of agree, except for the fact that Youtube/Google pretty much is the system.

That being said, surely there indeed must be a point that Suzy Lu gets thrown under the bus.
