I think that DSP got a lot of his paypigs from playing the WWE mobile game and from gatcha game forums and stuff, just think about it.
Gatcha players are conditioned to spend money on stupid things.
They're conditioned to spend money on a regular basis for expected or possible rewards (i.e "IF we hit the tips goal I'll put on the vest")
I also noticed that a lot of stuff from hi streams gets talked about on his WWE discord thing. I think that DSP designed his streams to act as a gatcha game because he knows that gatcha players spend big money.
Noticing again that Phil no longer goes in any significant overtime at all now that he's hitting that $100 tip goal every stream. He used to do 30-60 minutes of overtime to try and get those tips, especially when Kat was working, but no longer.
He's fucking lazy and stupid. He played Doom 2 on console too, even though he had to pay money for it there. On PC, he could have played the base game for free along with a bunch of mods.
But there is something to be said about just downloading a game from a working platform. And just hitting play. It saves time and is easy.
It's why people watch netflix. Rather than download their own server, install couch potato and then find the most high quality torrent.
However I do understand that playing on PC is better mostly, for the $60 games. You can find them cheaper if you know how.... He'd save a lot on expenses.

I'm starting to think Phil doesn't want to stream on PC in case there is something on his PC that he wouldn't want viewers to see. Nudes of leanna/kat, lewds of leanna were leaked before, a tiny little thumbnail with her hand over her boobs. But detractors still went mad at Phil claiming he leaked nudes of a minor.
What if he's worried about his SSN and other personal info, maybe the downloaded paypal statements to send over to Rochelle/Nancy, whoever popped up.

Esports pro players are notoriously poor streamers, though; after grinding League for 8+ hours a day, many don't want to stream the game again for the 3-4ish hours minimum that's expected of them, so there's a lot that don't make any kind of effort to build an audience. This is why you're seeing teams pick up streamers who aren't pros: they can put the ad inventory on them instead of putting more pressure on their competitors.

The thing about the wedding trip is that when Phil got back he couldn't shut the fuck up about eating pizza at his favorite authentic Italian restaurant, walking around the mall and being really disappointed that the zoo was closed. About a week or so later he went on some very long pissbaby rant about how awful the trip was because Kat didn't have a good time (to be fair, Phil spent their wedding night on Twitter getting into arguments with detractors). Putting aside Phil being a beta simp for changing his mind solely because his cunt wife made him, I think that whole experience really discouraged him from doing anything with Kat. They haven't done anything remotely special since getting married, with the most time they spend together being when they're grocery shopping. Even then it's probably Phil with a printed out list of things to get with little to no interaction between them. Phil is a full blown hermit now, only coming out of his cave to scrounge for food. Kat doesn't seem to be interested in doing anything, either, so it's really two hermits living together. They are the most boring, passionless married couple you could imagine. Phil gets more enjoyment from wasting his money on mobile games than going out with Kat, who more than likely just bitches about everything the whole time. The "I have no money!" excuse is just that, an excuse, and a lousy one at that. If Phil really did want to go on vacation with Kat, with the amount of money he makes he would have found a way to get it done by now.

I meant that in schedule, not in quality. Even if it's autistic, his schedule means a stream of consistent kahntent that someone who streams 1-2 times a month isn't matching.
My original post sucked because I was meaning to point out it was a poor comparison ("how does DSP have this many subs when this guy doesn't!?" when esports pros are poor streamers in the first place) rather than saying he was better in quality than them.

Right before Corona-chan hit, I attended one of Mike Tyson's live performances. For those that don't know, Mike Tyson has a 90 minute stand up show where he talks about his life and shows various clips and stuff.
I'm sitting like 10 rows back, and even from that distance, I could still feel that aura. That "Mike Tyson might snap and fuck someone up at a moment's notice even though he's 50+ now" aura.
The man is still built like a brickhouse. There's no doubt in my mind that at least the one punch KO power is still there even if the stamina isn't.
No, he's just an exceptional individual. Anyways, Morrowind is totally capable of running on a cell phone these days. He just wanted the safety of ye olde Xboxe instead.

Its fucking stupid of him to tie spending to the thing he only gets half off, but the man was never smart and was trying to double dip subs and patreon for a long while.
He doesn't "design" his streams to do anything. At this point they're entirely animated by his hate of games and his fear of "slipping up" in some way that detractors could use.
I dunno, him getting annoyed about the vest more and more each stream is pretty funny. He doesn't seem to realize that between the vest goal and him getting salty at games people just want him to interact at all besides complaining about trolls and spending so much time lean in banning.
Much beloved monkey-face website OverRustleLogs is shutting down! The DarksydePhil chat logs stopped updating on the 9th of April, and at first it was speculated that the ORL account that normally lurks in the chat was simply banned. But yesterday it was announced that Twitch Legal has requested that all chat logs be deleted and to stop caching Twitch chat. The process of shutting down the website begins at the end of the month. Take heed ye who make light of Twitch negative changes.
A complete archive of the DarksydePhil section is available for download here. All the logs in TXT format from 2017-01-03 to 2020-04-09, including separate files for broadcaster and subscribers (8.6m messages, 659 MB total). The only thing missing from the DSP section are the thousands of individual per month userlogs. For example, there's a userlog for MrPapaveraceae each month that he posted in chat. These individual userlogs were used for the 'Stalk' feature of the website, and all the text from these are of course in the normal chat logs.
The code for OverRustleLogs is publicly available on GitHub, and DarkDave continues to host a much less pretty version over at http://philburnell.com/logs. Chat moderation data continues to be available at the dsp.institute. Alternatively you can use Chatty to log each stream yourself. Watching some of the old TIHYDPs (Assassin's Creed 2, specifically), I almost find the pre-stream chat ones funnier because it's just an angry, fat manchild alone in his room complaining non-stop and that image is pretty fucking funny.
