So, asking for a friend, is anyone checking what you do with any negatively priced oil you purchase?
Also, how much oil could a person pour down their kitchen sink before they start seeing problems?

I wish Scotland were independent right now. Wee Jimmie Sturgeon would be killed by starving mobs.
You think this will kill Scottish independence for a generation even though they have benefited from being in the Union? I don’t understand why the Scots want to be independent when they would end up as a basket case.

They're Scottish, they can barely understand what they themselves are saying, nevermind politics.

Edit: Scottish is not compatible with English.

Same we think about catalonia over here. Every time they try to go independent they quickly find out every singe one of their bizzes would run to madrid and they'd be instantly quartered by the ravenous central european economies. But they keep fucking thinking "nah nah nah. THIS time it'll totally work!" And then they start negotiations. And it backfires. And they go back to daddy spain. Every god damned time.

I mean us other autonomies hate each other about as much really. Only difference is we learned the fucking lesson and stopped trying. But nah, they gotta be special. Can't just admit sticking together is the only way to survive this hellish continent known as Europe.

I don't see it. I tried In-N-Out when I visited Burgerland. After hearing so much about it, it was kinda disappointing. It's not a bad burger, but I'd have to be passing by to get it.
I will fucking cut you ... er, *ahem* I mean, it's okay if it's not really your thing, I suppose.

It's just a classic great American tradition: a good greasy burger with real meat, a bit of seasoning, grilled bun and yummy condiments (including what amounts to thousand island salad dressing).

But for real, isn't North Sea Oil a Scottish endeavour? Selling the oil should give them a decent amount of income, right?

RIP US economy 4/20/2020

I closed all my positions and got the fuck out lol. I'm not on the Central Bank payroll, sadly.

Don't worry. This is nowhere near the bottom of the barrel. It can get soooooo much worse. Fuck you're still not as bad as spain was in 20012. And that was one of the milder economic depressions! You still got a long way down before you catch up to us. And we have yet to catch up to greece.... oh poor greece.

Isn't this usually the part where a bunch of rich people stand in the corner laughing about how much money they are going to make tomorrow?

I'm going to wait until tomorrow at least.
I have no idea. I hate playing pump and dumps. The whole fucking economy feels like a pump and dump rn.

> Oil down over 200% in one day
> S&P 500 down... wait for it... 2%
> Gold up like 11%

WHAT. THE FUCK.

(edit: bloomberg was giving me 2-day metrics, it's even worse lmao)

More serious news: "The second wave"

For those in the thread and elsewhere who keep asking "but what if it mutates/will it come back stronger and meaner/do people get lasting immunity", here's a Twitter thread you can go and read:

Okay, at first these LWT's not in the studio are okay, now they are getting to feel like propaganda.

Because that's not creepy. I can't help but notice that none of you journalists and none of these social media companies care that much when people organize these huge "Rent Strikes" that violate this shit, and yet when it's a protest that goes against the established narrative, it has to be crushed underneath a boot. Seems a little unusual to me that the Right to Assembly applies to one party but not the other, here.

They've already shoveled out all the sand and gone back to skateboarding. What a fantastic waste of time and money that was.

Had there been any further talk of what’s happening in patients blood? Just sperging about this in the treatment thread but will copy it here... I also think there’s a problem with oxygenation. Maybe the haemoglobin is in a state where it’s unable to carry oxygen, or unable to release that oxygen to tissues AND some patients are seeing RBC levels drop as well. The combination, together with viral pneumonia and the layer of gunk coating the alveoli, is enough to put you into a pretty bad state.

It throws up some interesting targets - like cytochrome b5 reductase, G6pd again, but really someone needs to be looking at these patients blood. What percentage of haem is in the met form? Why is it doing that? What’s causing it? There’s form for some viruses causing oxidative haemolysis. Hep E does it and the effect is compounded in g6pd deficiency.
These patients seem to be in a state of oxidative stress. If that precedes the respiratory issues /or arises separately or in parallel it’d explain why Vents have such a poor success rate. The blood either can’t pick the oxygen up or it can’t release it to the tissues. We are missing something fundamental about how this virus kills people.

WHAT. THE FUCK.
This should have happened 2 months ago when China stopped production, IMO it's a late panic reaction on the news that everybody is full tanks on oil ATM.

For anyone who cares, it's not that the oil is worthless, it's that nobody wants to slow production (should have happened 2 months ago).

Didn't Saudi Arabia increase their oil production around January too? Fitting that oil is cheap when no one is allowed to travel.

About the gold, China has been buying it up for a few years now.

I haven't seen any news sites talking about it so the population isn't talking about it, it's whatever WHO has to say. When I have free time again I'll see if the medical sites I follow have been talking about it.

Would a full blood count answer those questions?
