Comicsgate Hangers-On and Drama Whores - A thread about some guy who's mad about Star Wars and the neckbeards obsessively stalking him

A few a year from a group that has a hard time getting 1 book out every two years seems optimistic to the point of delusion.

Pulido or Tim Lim could definitely do that but Ethan, Huerta, Delay or pretty much anyone CG wouldn't have a hope of getting 2 let alone 3 or 4 books out a year.

Well, if they broke up these 80 page monstrosities into normal book size and added a few ad pages, you'd get a subscription miniseries. And an opportunity to tighten up the writing in issues 2 through x

What 80 page monstrosities?

Ethan's book was 48 pages of story in his 88 page 80 page book and that's being generous. He padded the story out with unnecessary chapter separation pages and what not. Took a year and a half. He sent out the main book before the ashcan because he cannibalized his ashcan to pad the main story. Even the filler at the back had no original content he reprinted the variant covers in the back as extra material 2 or 3 times each.

I'm not sure any of these guys have 65 - 80 pages a year in them so long as they're main focus is YouTube and Twitter drama.

The only guy's putting out pages are people Ethan threw out like Tennaple, Tim Lim, George and JDA.

ComicsGate is only consistent at being late and under delivering at this point. They throw out anyone who produces for making the rest look bad.

Edit:
If they broke these books up into 22 page cat spankers they'd be getting an issue out every 5 months if they were lucky at the rate they work. And that's the fast guys.

Frog is to busy checking Kiwi Farms and sperging at people like you and me to get any kind of production underway.

He promised two new books in 2020. (96 pages)
Does anyone believe that's going to happen?

Yeah, you kind of hit on the the heart of the issue there.

Being an indie creator is a harder job than working within an established system. You have to do all the jobs to hit the same work rate. A simple youtube search suggests that these guys are doing significantly less work than they used to when they had bosses, and not just measured by page count.

There is, of course, an implied "and put in the full work week your pigs are funding you for" to make the suggestion workable. That part is optimistic, but it can totally be done as proven by decades of indie comic success. In fact, it should even be easier than the pioneers had it with their roadmap they left behind to use and the internet at a person's fingertips. It requires a sort of self-discipline that these artists used to have imposed on them by regular publishing deadlines

The medium is serialized fiction. When you maaaaaaaaaybe get an issue a year with a given IP, we get the situation where there must be a cult of personality around a bunch of manchildren to keep interest because there sure isn't a "next episode" to resolve the last cliffhanger and setting up the next one happening regularly

Absolutely.

I do find it interesting that the only guys putting out prolific page counts are guys who never worked a monthly and guys Ethan decided were "back stabbers".

It seems that guys who worked the indy grind with no guarantees are better equipped to produce and guys like EVS and Malin just don't have what it takes without an editor and a steady pay check to hold them to task.

Malin's a little better. I think he's managed about 130 pages in two years.

That's just over 10 pages per month. Kirby and Frazzeta did that in a weekend and their shit rocked.

Ethan's averaging about a week per page.

Do you even know how many shitposts and crying wojaks behind a mask it takes to do a page of gay frog comics in this day and age?

Oh my, how long does it take to draw a fucking cartoon frog? It 's not like he's cranking out another Michelangelo's David. I'm another self-taught artist, and even I know I could knock those bitches out faster. And I'm practically glacial in speed.

Oh @FROG
You move slower then a chilled slug in the wee hours of a cold morning. For someone who claims to care so much and be excited over their IP, you sure are dragging your ass about working on it.

But instead of acknowledging that your post was completely and fundamentally stupid, you tried to change the subject to "well, Ethan is still a poo poo head anyway and his success is kinda fake" will trying to insist that the totals are still "very suspicious".
If the "phantom backers" thing turned out to be false, it wouldn't matter, because my entire point was to prove that Ethan's lying about how much he actually makes.

Just saw a little of that liam's stream from today. Does anyone know whats Ro's problem with kiwis? Is it cause everyone is calling him a r.etard? Id say to him that if he doesnt want to be called that, he can just stop the act.....it sucks that its not an act in his case.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that shipping costs is not a net gain in profits. It means Cyberfrog didn't actually make the amount of money Ethan's gloating about. It's not at $600,000+ like he's advertising, because shipping cost is obviously spent on shipping. Nothing else. He doesn't get money from the shipping cost.

A product's success generally isn't talked about by the public in terms of pure profit.

Many articles were written about how The Rise of Skywalker made a billion dollars at the box office, but when you factor in the budget, the advertising, the revenue split with the theaters, the actual amount of money the film made is probably less than half that.

I think he's upset that the forum dedicated to spotting spergs and mocking them sniffed him out

I'm well aware of this, which is why I never buy into the narrative any article writes about movies "success" in the first place. If a film happens to do well in terms of how much they made at the box office, and is considered by the public to be a "success", but the profits were very marginal, it most likely means they aren't gonna get a sequel. It's not worth the investment nor the time and effort when the resources for that could be directed towards better products. The point here is that Ethan is very much running his own PR here, someone else isn't going around broadcasting the "success" besides him (and his retarded cultists) every chance he gets. It just makes it look pathetic honestly. Money made is rarely indicative of quality, especially in this day and age.

He is freaking out.

I noticed they were talking about the ideological split between Malin's faction and WarCampaign as well as the way Ethan seems to be on Malin's side. Ro was the "cooler". He came in to derail the conversation not to join it. What he said was was mostly meaningless.

The only things of consequence Ro seemed to say were his "joking" threats that he had dirt on everyone and was ready to use it.

At first Liam and Nick laughed along but as Ro continued down that line I could sense the build in awkward tension that comes with being in a room with a drunk who is sharing secrets he shouldn't.

Time stamped. Have a look at Liam's face while Ro talks about it.

I'm not changing a fucking thing, KF.

I'm not producing MORE work or FEWER drama videos.

Things are great.

Please never change or go away.
The amount of milk you provide directly or indirectly through SJW sperg outs is a source of constant entertainment.
Your orbiters are fucking re.tarded and their chimping out on twitter and YouTube is the comedy we need during the wuflu quarantine.

I want more drama videos. The gay crying salty tears are one of the few bright spots of logging into YouTube. Seeing tards slapfight each other is golden and you are to thank for a good portion of that.
I salute you Ethan.
Cool cards by the way. You should do a mystery pack sometime just never do a TSSSF.

That's cool. I would be concerned about your boy Ro, leader of WarCampaign(which you support btw) openly hanging private information of backers over their heads though. As one of the top figureheads of CG, I'm sure you want backers to feel safe supporting books as they see fit without fear of retribution from creators(which Ro also is).

Hey Ethan,

How's it going JerseyMilk?

It's been an extra fun week watching you and your tard squad freak out and self destruct.

I think the best for me so far is listening to loyal centurion Tinfoilhatnick here talking to Liam and he's using all the points ex-CG people have been talking about for over a year now. He sounded just like Vikki.

I cued up this video just for you. I love what Nick has to say about you Jon and Cecil.

Can't wait to see how this shit show turns out.

This bit was super fun too.

You have a great night Ethan the Hutt.

And don't go changin' to try and please us. 🎷🎶🎻 You're fucking hilarious just the way you are. 🎺🎶

Can you clip that bit of War Campaign saying that they won't ever do what I say, please?

Thanks.

Sorry, Nerkish, Bean from Paaaa, Sashi, Edwin, Smiller, etc.

Fuck Liam Gray is a moron, goes off topic to talk about Gallipoli and ends up completely proving Tinfoil Nicks point. Doesn't even have the self awareness to realize what his talking about debunks his whole argument.

I'm convinced CG's brightest minds left months, if not years ago and only the dregs remain.

Complete and utter brainlets, enjoy your troglodyte cattle @FROG fleece those stupid fucks for every last penny.

The hits just keep coming JerseyMilk.

I'll clip the part where he tells Liam he'll never back you guys again.

Is that the part you were talking about?

No, customers can stop backing me if they want. That's ComicsGate.

The interesting part is the part where War Campaign angrily says that they aren't commanded by me.

Thank you. I didn't watch this show. I would have missed it if not for your retarded diligence.
