I seriously doubt COVID infected people are somehow seeking out immigration as an option. This is just a dick move. I think he just picked it because as President he has executive authority to do whatever he likes with immigration in an emergency so he's just picking a really shitty, dumb way of pandering to his racist worshippers.

Asymptomatic cases are a thing you know. People that don't feel sick aren't not going to report themselves as being sick especially with the dismal image people have of hospitals at the moment. Plus, even fucking Iceland and every single country that doesn't want reintroduce the virus into the populous is doing this. Huh, it's like they don't want to reintroduce the virus back into the population or something during a pandemic. Also, some people (like truckers, loggers, deliverymen, postmen,etc) have jobs that require moving from place to place and the economy can't be shut down forever or else we'll have to deal with a pandemic AND an economic depression, which is when shit actually will hit the fan. Again, you're showing your upper/middle class privilege with saying stupid shit like that. Just because you can afford to do something for 3 months doesn't mean everyone else can.

Yes, Canadian civil engineers won't be allowed to come in to compete on an even playing field with a path to a green card, but it's different for the agricultural serfs on H2-A's that Trump and his conservative allies want to import to drive down American wages.
With American blue-collar workers put out of work by his failure and not adequately supported with relief funds, he is deliberately excepting a number of visa categories that drive down American wages.
In fact, he'd already increased H2-B and H2-A numbers just last month because as always, whatever Trump says to convince his retarded followers that he's on their side, he's doing the opposite for the bosses.
