Odd Youtube Fads

I used to watch a lot of commentaries years ago. I recall seeing a lot of commentaries about mariotehplumber, Chris Chan, and anyone else similar. To be honest, if I were to rewatch them, I see them in a much different light.

I used to watch a lot of YouTube poops, until I stopped. I only kind of see one in a rare moment.

I know it isn't "odd.," but I hate reaction/reply videos. I don't give a corn laden shit how children, teenagers, "youtubers", or elders react to videos. No offense to anyone who enjoys them but I think it's odd that they often get millions of views.

I agree as it's just a sign of lack of creativity.
there's a difference between making commentary of a bad movie and just putting child actors in front of WECKY VIDEOS.
speaking of which, remember reply girls?
Thos e girls who posted clickbait with cleavage thumbnails?

I think I enjoy them because I think it's interesting seeing how different demographics react to things. Like how I've always wondered how people from a long time ago wold react to the present.

If we're going to talk about commentaries, why aren't we talking about ranters? I used to watch the hell out of YT ranters and HDG knock offs. They were big back in 2008-9ish but now, all of them are (essentially) dead now.

I would also be interested in how people from the early 1900's would reply to popular media. I can only guess that their reaction would be a mix of confusion and horror while saying something along the lines of, "Please god, forgive us for our sins."

I keep seeing it mentioned randomly on the site but what are YouTube Poop? Sounds wack but I have no clue if it is or not.
It's a video where you take a source (or more than one source) and manipulate them. Whether it's visual or auditorial. A couple more popular edits include ear rape (essentally the brown noise), reversing the audio and sentence mixing (where you get a character to say something they otherwise wouldn't).

I'm sure moleman9000 would love to give you a two week introduction course on the history of youtube poop.

Edit: It's pretty wack.

Because Google apparently has more storage space than they know what to do with, they irresponsibly extended the maximum length of videos to ten hours. Innovative users like "TehN1ppe" took advantage of this by looping pointless shit up until the very last second allowed. Andy Warhol had "Empire", our generation has this:

There are hundreds of videos like this on YouTube, taking up untold terabytes of data for no practical purpose other than for YouTube commenters to type "O.O" and make the same stupid ass jokes on each video.
