They're talking about corona virus mortality, not school shootings, and the 2-3% that they mentioned is an estimated increase in the total mortality from the virus... meaning, if the overall death toll from the virus ended up being 100,000 deaths nationwide (it's currently just over 46,000), opening the schools now might increase that by 2 or 3 thousand. So just to be clear... nobody, at any point, was suggesting that 2-3% of school children (of whom there are ~50 million) might die.

What's more, though, is that even if they get infected, children tend to have very mild cases. The kids would mostly just be carriers; the overwhelming majority of those additional deaths would be adults... bus drivers, school staff, parents, etc. So there's no reason to think that any statistically significant number of children would die at all. The death toll would still mostly be confined to the at-risk population... older people and people with illnesses that create additional risk factors.

So anyway, then this moron retweeted it, adding her hot take: those eebil gun-totin' Fox-News-watchin' rebuplicans want children to die...

Next Jamie comes along and sees "guns" and "kids" in the same 240 characters and just assumes we're talking about school shootings. So of course she has to chime in with, "they need kids to start killing each other again so that people will buy more guns." Way to go, Jamie. Very tastefully said.

(Aside, how does she even think that school shootings lead to increased gun sales? I could see her thinking it'd work the other way around, but... ah, nevermind; she's much too retarded for me to bother trying to figure that out.)

So the best I can tell, Jamie was the first person to bring up school shootings, and what's more, as far as I can tell, none of them understood what the original statement was actually saying. The retarded game of telephone they played just got further and further from what was originally said.

This reminded me of the Funi filings, where they implied that "no one with a reasonable level of intelligence would interpret their tweets like an attack on Vic" and guess who actually used these same tweets in their filings? Jamie and Monica.
Monica displayed her idiocy many times and will keep doing so, same with Jamie which displayed hers this time with that epic take that blasted her to the moon. My mom was a strong woman. She was fun to be around, she helped me alot during her life (even at times where I didn't deserve it) she was very dedicated to her job and her family. She wasn't perfect and it pains me that she took her own life. I'll always remember the good times I had with my mother and how she could bring smiles to all of our faces.

AWL decided to be a sped in the wrong era. Jamie decided to be unhinged in an era where her partisan politics are considered righteous, she sucked enough executives off, and knows enough about her higher-ups she sucked off that if they ever fire her for her unprofessional attitude, she'd end their careers in a nuclear hellfire.

According to IMDB, Jamie was in an episode of Fruits Basket that came out three weeks ago. She was also in several episodes of A Certain Scientific Railgun that aired in January and February.

That doesn't say as much as you think, though i am still on the "this is unlikely" side. These episodes tend to be voiced months in advance, an entire season in one go.

Cody hypothesizes that Funimation would have given Jamie the boot long before this KickVic humbug if they really wanted to. So far they were comfy to keep her mostly contained in minor roles and garbage shows.

Maybe Funimation has meanwhile decided to loose some excess fat in the meanwhile due to Corona-chan.

Her ability to launch any nuclear hellfire has ended. She's just a fat over the hill, unpleasant VA. I'm sure that for less than they're paying her they could get some attractive young VA who isn't a complete cunt and isn't going to cost them millions in legal fees and bad PR.

If I remember right, Fruits Baskets (before Corona-Chan came calling) was a true simuldub, in that dubbed episodes would come out the same day as the Japanese version. This usually meant Funi would have the material 2-3 weeks in advance, at most.
