As a consolation prize, the removal or obstruction of basketball hoops ought to make for a pleasant little reduction in local crime rates. If Shaquawn and the boys can't get some hoops in, they've got no reason to go to the park.

I hope so, but they’ll probably engage in criminal activity near their homes instead or in the parks near the lakes. There’s one specific park that’s usually an open air drug market that will probably be a lot quieter though.

I see @Mexican_Wizard_711 has deleted his post, but while I would not attempt to offer medical advice for whatever issues he is encountering, and I am not a chemist either, I do not believe that the additives to Dasani water is consistent with bleach+water, which is not something you should drink unless your water is not potable.
Ensuring that water consumption (of tapwater) is maintained at the previous levels would be wise. Taking a multivitamin would be unlikely to hurt. Please don't drink bleach unnecessarily or try to make your own Dasani water from research chemicals.

Just put a lid on a large pot and boil the water for several minutes, and either make yourself a cup of tea or wait for it to cool. There is a reason why tea and other herbal infusions are the most widely consumed beverages, worldwide.

Do not drink bleach. Seriously. Just erase that thought when it crosses your mind.

Actually 2-4 drops of Bleach per Gallon of water is a longstanding field protocal for killing parasites and making water potable. Y'know those tablets you carry when backpacking that you put in the water that you get from lakes and streams? They're bleach tablets. A small amount of chlorine in the water is okay. And most water systems inject a small amount in to kill and prevent nasty's like dysentery. But there is a world of difference between 2 drops of bleach per gallon of water and outright drinking bleack. Or putting much higher amounts in your bath water.

They probably wanted to do this forever but just now had Orange Man's statements on possible disinfectants to use to justify it. The timing lines up perfectly, but I don't get why Youtube just didn't do it earlier anyway. It's not like they give a shit what people think of their practices, especially when this is in line with their other decisions ie: Coronavirus and conspiracy content.

So apparently one of SF's district supervisors is a real exceptional individual (well, likely more than one, but you know, one in particular) and he's been sperging out on Twitter at UberEats.

Basically, SF passed some regulations that impacted Uber's ability to deliver food without losing money per transaction, and now this guy is upset that Uber isn't a charity and that Uber is allowing SF's government to look foolish when they are.

I'll be making copious use of spoiler tags on this one, because I grabbed a lot of caps:

The kicker to all of this? You see that common refrain "I had nothing to do with the regulation"? As in: "I had nothing to do with the regulation, so this is Uber's problem" or whatever his point is?

WE. ARE. LITERALLY. IN. A. GLOBAL. PANDEMIC.

YOUR. COMPANY. MUST. LOSE. MONEY. TO. COVER. MY. INCOMPETENT. ASS.

I agree. But you need to be DAMN SURE about what you are doing. And some people might think that they are DAMN SURE but they make a lot of mistakes mixing chemicals and water. Or mixing chemicals, in general. Especially under physical or emotional exhaustion, can't find glasses, noise in the background, get poor advice, misplace instructions, etc.

Like what concentration of bleach? And to purify how much water? Etc. Etc.

He certainly has access to very smart people who are apparently (offhandedly?) mentioning various speculative treatments that, when he attempts to explain in his usual oversimplifying style, exposes him to ridicule and accusations of woo. He's also very much a "positive thinker", which at the moment seems to be anathema.

Can one inject isopropyl alcohol? In my degenerate days I was fascinated with the anecdotes I had heard about some of the hypnotics available in the 70s: particularly the quinazolinones like methaqualone, but also one off hypnotics like ethchlorvynol (Placidyl). I had a job in organic synthesis for a while and whipped up some of the former and was very impressed with the sheer euphoria (one of its drawbacks is that it is a very sloppy, kind of drunken euphoria, which was enough for me to lose interest). Drug euphoria is literally a derivative: it corresponds to the rate of change in drug concentration and not at all with absolute plasma levels or whatever. I was at home so used a little isopropyl alcohol as solvent. I'm still here!
you can stop, apparently it was a prank bro

im not certain if this was posted, but the MI governor has made her response to the numerous lawsuits being brought up against her.

By decreeing with Order 58 that there is no time limit for replying to civil court precedings so she can now ignore the court completely.

She effectively suspended the court in MI untill she rules otherwise or she is forcibly removed.

so in laymans terms there is no set date for her court hearing so she doesn't have to worry about being tried? thats crazy

Yeah I’ve heard of people using iso or vodka to inject benzos which makes me wtf? Just use pg watered down so you don’t have it burn like fuck when injecting it. Also it has been a while since I’ve made methaqualone, but what an easy/exciting synth. It really isn’t hard, but if you fuck up it can kind of explode.

Not that I would ever do anything illegal, but for old times I kinda wanna do it again. It is very fucking sloppy though like every time I’d take it to get fucked up I’d wake up with bruises. Never abused the stuff, but god damn. I only ever did it orally, but have heard of some place in Africa they smoke it? Not a drug I’d really consider ever smoking personally.
