How legit/reliable is that channel?
They're obviously biased against the CCP but from what I've seen they're fairly reliable.

How accurate is exactly the notion that 6-8 weeks of total lockdown will "exterminate" the virus?
About as accurate as Trump saying to get a Lysol IV to stop the rona.

If it worked, why wouldn't we have locked down the eliminate the flu years ago and saved potentially millions of lives long term? The flu kills 650,000 people per year according to wikipedia. If locking down elminated a virus and future mutations, why wouldn't we have had a hard lock down for the flu and save over six million lives over the course of a decade?

The newscaster can't hide his glee when badmouthing the CCP. So I'm fairly sure if the table wasn't there we'd see he's sporting a considerable hateboner. But he does fetch all the intel he can and to be fair, it's hard not to be biased against the CCP after analyzing how they handled this.

That assumes total lockdown literally means every person will be completely and totally isolated from each other on the entire planet. (And no animal catches it) Let's just say it's... optimistic.

In a hypothetical sense, maybe, but it's not really possible. There's millions of hospital workers, factory and warehouse workers, grocery workers, etc. that are still out there, and they deal with people, who deal with people, and, well, you get the idea. And even if you, for some reason, decided that we didn't need hospitals or food and shut literally everything down, you'd still need police and/or military to be out there enforcing it.

Simply put, you can't just "wait out" a highly communicable disease.

Honestly. IF the mask supply is sufficient, that would at least not be a hortid idea. So while still dumb, compared with everything else michigan's done, it feels ok.
It's not masks specifically that are required, it's anything covering the mouth and nose. The order says:
"Supplies of N95 masks and surgical masks should generally be reserved, for now, for health care professionals, first responders (e.g., police officers, fire fighters, paramedics), and other critical workers who interact with the public."
It also says, and I really should have seen this before, "no individual will be subject to penalty" for failure to wear such a covering.

Extremely reliable. Fact-checking services have assessed that everything Chris Chappell has ever said or thought in his entire life was 100% correct.

Dr. Campbell's video on the WHO saying 'there's no evidence you can't catch COVID twice' and reopening strategies.

Meat of the matter:
...
Normal blood-oxygen levels are around 97%, Moss said, and it becomes worrisome when the numbers drop below 90%. At levels below 90%, the brain may not get sufficient oxygen, and patients might start experiencing confusion, lethargy or other mental disruptions. As levels drop into the low 80s or below, the danger of damage to vital organs rises.
...
However, patients may not feel in as dire straits as they are. A lot of coronavirus patients show up at the hospital with oxygen saturations in the low 80s but look fairly comfortable and alert, said Dr. Astha Chichra, a critical care physician at Yale School of Medicine. They might be slightly short of breath, but not in proportion to the lack of oxygen they're receiving.
...

oximeter.jpg

TLDR; Get yourself one of these bad boys off Amazon for $20 ("oximeter"), if rich feel feel to pay more for medical grade device or splurge on one of these new fancier smart watches with "SpO2 sensor".
Use it daily and if your blood oxygen level drops below 90, try to get to hospital, start logging the oximeter readings in addition to other symptoms and keep pestering them daily, if you can't.

Victor David Hansen appeared on Uncommon Knowledge this week. He's a Stanford Professor and articulated the main points of this thread.

TL;DR - China did this, we must divest and isolate them. There are 4 main challenges to divesting, they will take time and effort to accomplish. Policy must adapt to this new way of thinking, and there are no sacred cows.

His words inspired me. Worth watching and sharing.

Whoops. Sorry Cody. They didn't get that memo. They got yours, though!

And that's just on page 11. So many people are going to be fired because of this release. This is why you use throwaways when contacting government agencies unless it actually pertains directly to you. Plenty of states have "as open as possible" record keeping laws (Florida comes to mind) and just asking for anonymity when contacting them doesn't automatically grant it.

Agreed. If you get the Conniving Commie Coof you should check your SpO2 and see if it drops below 95%.
This plague is the gift that keeps on giving. I can't wait for Karen to demand to be seen immediately because the device she hadn't heard of two months ago, and which she doesn't really know how to use, gave her a result that she finds troubling.

I was surprised to find today that our company will not be closing during the outbreak. We do not produce anything in regards to "essential" products. Our company exclusively produces parts for sprinkler systems. My boss has made it very clear that we will be staying open because they can not afford the loss in revenue. However our manufacturing floor does not practice "social distancing" and I am worried that we will all get infected.

Open records laws are going to give people a lot of insight during this period.

I've been doing FOIAs on the local school system. Found out, for the last 10 years, the number one thing people have been requesting is increased focus on civics. Administrators and school board officials actively fight such requests.

When it comes to business, there's a very anti-business crowd around. Their words are going to hang them in the new world we're entering.

Government in Norway stating they're not going to consider reopening international travel until a vaccine has been distributed.
This is asinine, a vaccine might never be found. They can't maintain martial law indefinitely out of fear for the "second wave"

It's the same bullshit coward governments are saying all over the place.
Either they're dumb as fuck and ignoring the new science coming out, it's purposeful ignorance because they enjoy the control or they have darker, ulterior motives.

4 months ago we didn't think world lockdowns and house arrests would be possible, so....

There's no point preserving life if no one can live it.
