I’m so sorry practicing better oral hygiene stopped your teeth falling out and made you get 25 lbs closer to a healthy weight.
Press F to pay respects.
That’s what makes me MOTI at these twats: the brainwashing is evident. Health at any size but don’t you fucking dare lose weight mate I swear to God I will cut you
Poor woman is having guilt attacks because she inadvertently lost weight while being overweight and her online “support” group is going to castigate her for daring to get thinner, through no real effort of her own. It’s all just a bloody cult, it’s fucked up.
This isn’t even #dietculture, the weight loss was an accidental side-effect of saving her teeth and being in pain from eating candy! But despite the party line of “your body knows what it wants and weight flux is normal and fine and your body changes and that’s fine too,” the actual act itself of losing weight is considered a guilty problem.
Changing bodies and changing body weight is always lauded as normal in HAES, but only when it’s weight gain, never loss. You can keep going up and up on the scale and we’ll always call you amazing and brave! But the minute that number slides back, you are a bad person.
And yet if some woman said “oh god I put on 25 lbs because of this dental issue, yikes,” they’d be all over it and screaming about how BODIES CHANGE, HOW DARE YOU FEEL GUILT, HOW FUCKED UP ARE YOU
