People react differently to drugs, especially if they have a history of mental illness. I've heard psychadelics are a big no-no because it could trigger something (e.g. schizophrenia), especially if somebody is stressed/anxious/paranoid during the time they take it.

I think missing nips on anime and other animation is less about purity and more about any detail looks more pronounced on drawing and so nips can look gross especially if placing is off. Leaving nips out looks more smooth and is anyway a part of body most people pay little attention so why waist money and time drawing and possibly redrawing something like nips especially on men. Sure there are styles where nips look fine or even are useful in indicating state dress, but many cases unless you are doing porn or trying to gross people leaving nips out is fine.

Anime in particular is often animated on such a razor-thin budget that any extraneous detail gets cut out. So if you see male nipples in anime... well, you're 90% of the time either going with a deliberately overdetailed "bara" look, you're drawing a small kid (I think they have nipples drawn on for the sake of having some detail?), or those nipples are getting licked at some point.
