Firstly, I've found that it takes time usually to reach the general consumer base. So it'll probably sell decently no matter what, at the start. If people dislike it, it will drop off and won't sell well over time. And a theoretical Last of Us 3 would not open well, and maybe even the next ND game won't open well.

You can look at Star Wars, or Battlefield V as recent examples.

As for the topic at hand, any news/reports from Sony? I know their PR department has been on the warpath, but I'm keeping an eye open for any official press release. Also, possible second wave of leaks later today.

Yes or no, are the leaks "true" to any significant extent? Christian Cult and Ellie's Gaycation or whatever the fuck? Because by all accounts on my end, the answer is, "no".

Well, that's another one off the list of games I have an interest in, even if it was pretty low. Real shame. Was going though some stuff and found my copy of the first one. Now that was a good game. Cyberpunk is looking to be an overhyped game that won't live up to expectations. Will probably still get it unless it's an absolute clusterfuck, so the only other "AAA" title to look forward to for me is Ghost of Tsushima.

The leaks about Joel dying early on, Ellie being the villain and you playing as that troon halfway through are 100% true you mongoloid.

I feel like this summarizes the entire thing. This is the shit that pisses me off the most when people aim to be woke.

Why the fuck are chasing trends for brownie points when stuff like this will just be viewed as the product of a time.

The first game was perfect since I can look at that game at any point and recognize what the game was driving at. It put the gameplay first and then had the story work around that gameplay. It's a survival game first, lets make it have two characters that need to cooperate to survive and have their personalities develop as we go through the gameplay. Which damn good gameplay makes the player to character interaction much stronger and thus we feel more invested in the story.

In LoU2 they're chasing the woke crowd and it's going to blow back in their fucking faces because they're pissing on the fans who enjoyed what the first game had to offer by putting the story first and warping it all around that. Like people are gonna remember the first one for the good shit, and they'll only remember this game because of the idiotic choices they made.

"B-b-but we made a huge statement! A real revelation!" Like dude I don't give a fucking shit if the character is trans or a fucking stapler, you made a product that disrespected the fans, completely shat over the characters they loved and respected, and even abused people to make this god awful product. No line of gameplay at this point would save you from that especially after the fucking showboating Sony has done for years on end about this game.

Add in how long development of this game has taken (At least Tsuhima is coming out this year and was PLANNED TO COME OUT THIS YEAR) and it's a prime example of why Sony stroking their cock over this game was bound to backfire.

Put the game first and your fucking statements on LGBT after. We should have known the moment they had that presentation at E3 with the wooden dance barn that this was the road they were going down. Woke points do indeed fucking expire when people realize your message is tied to a pile of shit.

In all seriousness, I've just completely lost this guy's train of thought on this entire thing, especially after he brought up 4chan as a "sister site" for the Farms as to why he believes the leaks aren't real or exaggerated, which is just seven different flavors of stupid. Both sites have these videos up and confirm everything he's asking, even. This is one of the few times everybody from all sides agrees with one another on something (that this game's plot is either really disappointing for TLoU1 fans and/or straight-up dogshit in several different ways), and he's still saying it's all fake; the builds, the leaks, the story...
EDIT: 4Chan, not ResetEra. Still exceptional logic either way.

...Maybe Rude is high right now. Whatever he's on right now, I want some. Maybe it'd dull the pain of seeing characters I loved, and loved to hate, getting brutally murdered/left for dead without any dignity a bit.
Yeah they were both assholes in their own ways, but they were OUR assholes goddammit. They deserved something, ANYTHING, better than a golf club beating and a weak-ass warehouse struggle.

Oh yeah you're right, my mistake. Mixed that up with his defensiveness about the ReeEra thread.

...Though that somehow makes even less sense: 4chan's a fuckin' large imageboard where threads are created and die as they please, at least ReeEra is structurally a forum. Maybe he's going by the 9chan project Null's working on and thinking all chans are one in the same?

Really liked the first one, tried to avoid spoilers and I failed, but not even mad, what I read was so dumb I had to read more and now I will no longer be buying the game, so happy I am saving the money I would have used for the game. ND needs Amy Henning back ASP, Neil Druckmann can get fuck.

Also the plot is a rip off what No More Heroes 2 did, just Suda did it far better.
