I mean look at the reaction to Blizzard taking away that Chink's prize money. Firstly, I've found that it takes time usually to reach the general consumer base. So it'll probably sell decently no matter what, at the start. If people dislike it, it will drop off and won't sell well over time. And a theoretical Last of Us 3 would not open well, and maybe even the next ND game won't open well.

You can look at Star Wars, or Battlefield V as recent examples.

Pretty much, what will be more telling is how fast the price of the game tanks, especially used copies. The big AAA games that disappoint lose value insanely fast these days. Funny how their most recent game was Lost Legacy, picked the perfect name for what has been happening to their company since they pushed out Hennig.

Personally never cared much for any of their modern games anyway so I am just sitting here enjoying the show. And hey maybe this will boost Ghost of Tsushima sales since it comes out a month later. Always annoyed me that Sucker Punch has been second fiddle to ND despite making way more fun video games imo.
