They don't have to like the traditional depiction of orcs, but nothing is stopping them from making their own orc tribes, characters, campaigns, etc. They don't even have to play D&D if this pisses them off so much! The majority of women I've played with have been very attentive and interested, but I've also been in groups with a few "nerdy girls" who seemed to have no interest in the game but lingered on to make sure their boyfriends didn't spend any time alone with their male friends. This pushback has to be done little by little. After all, throwing out the trash is a constant effort that is better done in small amounts.
But this is also why i write the crap i write in my free time. Some people cannot grasp that fantasy stories must use reality as a template or at least a framework in order to encase the whole world you are going to tell about. And that also includes the bad things. After all you need something real and threatening in order to create a clash or a conflict beyond "X is bad". Because if something is bad and not a real threat, most people will actually bear with when there are far worse things that can happen. But what's death from starvation or being mauled by horrible monsters compared to having the townsfolk call you faggot? That, my friends, is the true evil.

The infatuation with fantasy is something i never was able to understand. Sure, i've dabbled in heavy escapism during my college years but these people behave as if they live in that fucking fantasy world 24/7. One thing is liking it and another is being pants on head retarded about your fucking favourite character being killed and demanding the creator to retcon that death. A lot of SJWs do that and its both horrible and hilarious to watch. Also i don't get why they are so adamant about shipping and their headcanons. It's fucking idiotic.

As a person, i would never enjoy something that mimics reality too much. After all, we want to get away temporarily from the shit we are dealing in real life. Art and artistic expression is mostly done for enjoyment of both the public and the artist. But SJW artists and writers feel the compelling need that turn everything into propaganda. And like you say, we might want to enjoy being a big hairy green dued that fights and fucks instead of being in a cookie cutter adventure about how slavery is bad and you should feel bad.
