There are plenty examples of righteous men in the Scriptures "snapping". It's completely within the range of righteous behavior. Moses snapped and killed a man. Samson snapped and lit a few fields on fire. Dinah's brothers snapped and killed a bunch of men to avenge her. Absalom snapped and avenged his sister too. The Messiah snapped and started whipping people out of the Temple.

Read the rest of the verse where it says that the wicked will be destroyed. The destruction is tied into the previous verse that says "turn from wrath". IN order to not be destroyed you have to turn away from Elohim's wrath. The two verses are connected
