Can someone help me download all my photos from my old photobucket at once?

My brother has an older model Acer Viking Pro 10 tablet and he told me he can't find an mp4 player to play videos he downloaded, any option recommended he could try, if necessary i can find more details about the tablet

It looks like JDownloader, and possibly youtube_dl, will let you download everything publically available from the public 'profile' page.

You'll have to check whether it's getting those in original quality if that's necessary. There are probably more specialized tools if so.

VLC should work with the Android version on those. It might run bad with high res videos though. But that won't be on the player.

I use Handbrake on Windows.
Good news, I'm dumb as shit. I had Handbrake but just now thought to check the last time I updated it, and its version dated back to 2017. Before they implemented h.265 at all. I didn't see it in the dropdown menu. Derp.

h.265 takes a long time to encode, and then your target device might not be capable of decoding it.

h.264 is a lot more compatible.

Using hardware encoding the difference in time isn't that big in my experience, the quality using either of them will take a hit but that's HW encoding. But if the goal is to reduce the size of Pissmasters quarantine porn-stash then a set-it-and-forget-it re-encoding of h.264 to h.264 might end up with files bigger than they originally were if someone competent hand-tuned the encoding of different segments of the movie. YIFY was good at that. I have good rip of Excalibur in h.264, a movie that is 140 minutes long, and it's 933MB@720p. That takes both skill and hard work. It's not drag and drop at CRF 22.

I would recommend testing both NVENC h.264 and h.265 or the equivalents for Intel and AMD. When I messed around with it on a nVidia I didn't really notice a different in quality or the size of the file because variable bitrate seems to be a placebo setting that does nothing and two pass encoding using NVENC is largely pointless, or at least it used to be.

Definitely check out Doom9 and VideoHelp.com for settings, tweaks and gotcha's, they are video super-spergs that makes me feel bashful.

I'm having trouble getting Unbound to forward DNS to my DNS-over-TLS provider.

Do you guys have a tutorial I can follow that isn't the Arch wiki? Everything I try on that one doesn't work properly.

I'm not sure it's working correctly, but I can post my config.
Code:
server:
    verbosity: 1
    trust-anchor-file: /etc/unbound/trusted-key.key
    tls-cert-bundle: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
python:
remote-control:
forward-zone:
    name: "."
    forward-tls-upstream: yes
    forward-addr: 2606:4700:4700::1111@853#cloudflare-dns.com
    forward-addr: 2606:4700:4700::1001@853#cloudflare-dns.com
I grepped out all comments, if you want them I can pastebin the whole thing.

I have a bizarre win10 problem that pops up rarely enough that I usually forget it's something that can happen.

If I have 29 explorer windows open everything is fine, I open a 30th one and it either hangs so explorer.exe needs to be killed and restarted, OR, and this is really strange, a new window opens up and is responsive, but it doesn't show anything. Not all parts of the GUI elements are rendered as well. This also applies to every other part of windows AND other programs using native Windows GUI elements, they get fucked up in the same way. Close the 30th window and everything is fine again.

The computer isn't acting slower, task manager doesn't report any spikes in CPU, GPU or RAM usage and there's nothing in the event logs. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be or how it can be fixed?

Why do you have 30 file explorer windows open at one time? I have never seen anyone ever open that many.

Most of the time I straight up forget about them because they're minimized or behind other things and when alt-tabbing not every open window/application is shown so it's easy to miss how many there are.

It annoys me that only explorer does that, I can open a hundred chrome windows no problem so why not windows for the file explorer? That the event viewer doesn't log that anything strange is going on really bugs me and it's not a system resource issue either. At the very least I want to know what's causing it.

You could recreate it and see if process monitor picks anything up?

Update all your drivers?

Update all your drivers?

It's not drivers, I'm even running Nvidias "Creator" drivers that are supposedly more stable at the cost of performance. This started happening some time after one of the larger windows updates. I have those on a delay so I don't know which/what caused it, it's been happening for 12-18 months or so, it's not often that I actually manage to open that many windows so it's hard to pinpoint.

You could recreate it and see if process monitor picks anything up?

I've done that and filtered for explorer.exe but I'm not sure what to look for, threads open, threads close, nothing jumps out as weird.

This is how it affects an explorer window. All of them goes from this:
explorer2.JPG

To this, and I'm actually surprised it shows the Desktop and Downloads folder.
explorer.JPG

Other programs also gets affected in weird ways, like Taskmanager. There's actually only four Adobe items there, some of them just got mirrored on top and nudged to the left.
taskman.JPG

This does not seem to happen to programs using the QT framework.

I don't need to be able to have 31 explorer windows open but I want to figure out what's going on.

In a admin command prompt:
sfc /scannow
if that fails:
dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

I deleted System32 instead, now I can open 32 windows but the bug still appears when opening a 33rd.

Can someone walk me through making a folder on my pc and tablet that is synced, so if I do something to the folder on android it is reflected on pc and vice versa with google drive?

With Google Drive/Backup and Sync.

Or, if you don't necessarily want Google to spy on all your stuff and more than it does currently, I really recommend SyncThing. Makes for much faster transfers locally and doesn't really add any complexity to your system in general.

Hmm. I imagine you're not being literal about the number, but can you reproduce on demand? I.e. if you go to C:\Windows, select n folders, right click 'open in new window', then select one more and do the same, it fails at same point every time? If it is that simple to reproduce should make diagnosing it easier. Or at least cause it to happen at approximately the same number of windows.

One lazy thing to try.
View->Options->View->'Launch folder windows in seperate process'

If that fixes it without downsides memory wise.. I'd just take the win. Otherwise, start in safe mode. See if can reproduce. If not, check Autoruns (Microsoft Sysinternals) for Windows Explorer shell extensions etc. Disable, restart, attempt to reproduce, look for problems. If not something like that I'd suggest looking at what antivirus/antimalware software you have installed.
