I buy a Jump magazine that has 15-20 stories in it with great art, better stories than you put out, get free limited edition trading cards (cards I can actually use when I go to the arcade btw) depending on the week/month, posters, stickers, files I can keep my papers in, and many many more merch in it. Did I mention they release the Jump magazines weekly? And they have a separate format for monthly releases with another set of different stories?

Depends on your mileage. And your tastes and your preferred genre. As well as picking out little inventive things they're doing with their stories. But if I was to objectively quantify it, a lot of what's published not just in Jump, but other magazines I purchase have ideas that at least itches the mind more than a cybernetic alien frog. Whether or nor you consider them "fluff", or simply a different take that's not too vastly different from existing stories, but slightly different enough to stroke the taste bud, that's up to you. I vehemently dislike One Piece, but I rather read that than another Toad book.

The LCS "charity" auction raised 430k for booksellers. According to their own tweet "many, many" stores have applied for funding.
This is enough money to give 430 stores 1k each which at the most optimistic estimate is a few days operating expenses to pay for books, maybe a dent in the rent on retail space in a strip mall.
They don't specify how many shops have applied for aid but this trash auction won't change the future for any of them. It's like giving someone who is terminally ill an extra hour or two to say goodbye.
The charity doesn't say how it picks winners and losers only that they raised money.
Imo this is the shadiest way possible to help the LCS. I've seen a number of comic pros raise money for specific shops or encourage people to buy from them which is far more effective than letting an obscure charity decide who lives and dies according to rules they haven't released.
I saw Liefeld running his own campaign to raise money and pay shops directly. This has a quantitive impact that can be measured.
The BINC charity looks like nothing but self back patting.

Again, depends on your mileage. I would disagree since I don't buy just Jump. And I don't stick to just Shonen (which tends to be repetitive). And no, most manga's don't have one plot or one set of characters. Archetypes are a thing, but if you're only seeing the same shit, you must have been looking at the wrong place.

I'll agree on the note that the frog book is a cape story. But I'm not impressed. I wasn't thrilled with Michael Bay's Bloatedformers, and this reminds me of it. Overrated sci-fi wannabe stories.
