Dominique McLean / SonicFox - I'M GAAAAAAAYYYY

PLing a bit, I fought his Kolin at furry con friendlies.

He doesn't have a BAD smell, but you can definitely tell he needs to shower after a while. Then again that might also come with wearing a fursuit head as a gimmick and it being triple digits all the time in there.

Yeah, fursuits might be quite the factor: the head alone is pretty much steaming, and very little ventilation pass through those things, which is why there is headless lounge filled with ventilators, water and fans made to blow air in the head to remove the moisture out of it (or at least, most of it). Some places also offer those lysol wipes to clean the fan before and after you use it, but realistically, I doubt that half of the one using those spend the time to clean behind themselves.

Also, the FGC had history of some players being rather nasty in terms of hygiene, even more smash players, for some odd reason. I wouldn't be surprised if those people tried to use that as an excuse to get as much dirt on our blue oddball, the whole scene can be filled with dumbasses gossiping left and right.

So he commissioned two fullsuits, including his edgelord guro character.

are those sharp things supposed to be the things kaneki ken has
I thought he had centipede arms or some shit? But idk seems like the character is based of the Tokyo Ghoul aesthetic: black scelera and red eyes, extra bug legs, edgy.

I could have sworn someone claimed SonicFox didn't shower and the smell distracted them from the game so he lost. Like people were advocating rule changes - no idea if serious - to make sure you're clean before you play.

And I say "no idea if serious" because I have no idea how bad he reeks that other people complain about it, the same people pumping out BO themselves.
From my experience in FGC venues, realistically the whole "smelly smash bros' thing isn't an exaggeration, but that's usually due to how many people go to Smash events and how many there are. Smash is more pick up and play than Tekken or Street Fighter, and definitely ArcSys games (Except maybe Dragon Ball FighterZ). What they wont tell you is that when it comes to these other scenes is that the smell comes way later and is usually going to be more noticeable in, say, the west or southern parts of USA due to the extreme heat. EVO smells like four porn studios filmed seven different orgies simultaneously by the time grand finals for games happen, it's that musky. The scent is usually masked because most people stay for EVO for a long time, so when you stay in a place that gets progressively smelly, your senses will pretty much say "this is normal."

For EVO, speaking of, it's probably the worst smell imaginable, and this is even before Melee or whatever other Smash games were there (and after when it was dropped) because EVO has never had the best ventilation and is also in Nevada, usually in July or August, the hottest time of the year for USA. Now imagine SonicFox as he appeared on stage with that fursuit, in grand finals, accepting his award, in the 100 degree (about 38 degrees celsius) weather.

This paints an image of Sonicfox just fucking suffering while in the fursuit/ fursuit helmet but keeping it on because he NEEDS to prove to the world he's a gay furry and he's willing to suffer heatstroke for it.

What's his plan after he peaks? Reflexes slow down eventually which is why the vast majority of digital sports guys retire before thirty, and eSports gives you little foundation for an actual career path. From his recent tweets he seems to want to get into programming, and I don't know if he has a part time job outside of vidya.

Programming seems like the perfect place to scream about your super special gender this and that and profit off it, if Google's anything to go by. Maybe SonicFox's onto something.

Last I heard, this guy already dipped out of college for computer science a while ago to play full time (actual big fucking oof, he did the exact opposite of what you're told to do as a pro player lol). Regarding reflexes, I actually don't think he has anything to fear there since he's a fighting game player, and skill for them is based more on experience, rather than on reaction time like in a shooter. However, he also confirmed that he pops Adderall and Prozac, so he doesn't have to worry about an obscenely healthy diet and vitamins to maintain his reaction speed and focus anyway, yet, that shit does rot your brain (literally builds up toxicity) so he might get worse faster and realize he has to retire faster. On top of all that, I know that in the FGC, they're already sick of him, he's considered a one-trick pony that learns fast, but learns fast only because he plays easy games with very little mechanical depth (his crusty fursuit gets washed when he plays Street Fighter, he already rage-quit Guilty Gear and he won't even touch Tekken AFAIK).

In the end, I don't think he has a plan; the guy is just gonna ride out his dwindling 15 minutes of fame being that one gay furry faggot, he's basically the Joe Exotic of Mortal Kombat. He's not going to stand the test of time like Daigo or one of those sweaty Guilty Gear players who has played the same character in the same game for like 20 years.

Want to place bets on when he's going to troon out?

The rest of your post is sensible and I agree that he's going to fall harder than a rock when he actually does fall, but this part is the problem with your post.

People need to stop repeating this untrue narrative. SonicFox is disliked in the FGC if anything because of his personality, his skill is admitted by everyone because denying it is literally insane. SF5 is not a game with particular mechanical depth as it's an extreme casualization of the franchise and he does play some Tekken and does okay at best, though it remains to be seen if he'll actually keep playing it. Every game on the market now is low in mechanical depth compared to the games from 10 or 15 years ago, so you're basically blaming him for being born too late at this point. The thing is, the games he's actually focused on when he's focused on them, he's been dominant in. Does that mean he'll dominate any fighting game? Of course not. But you don't win multiple world championship titles in multiple games by being a "one-trick pony".

There's a metric ton of things to laugh at SonicFox about. There's so much it's unbelievable. Trying to tear down the one thing he actually is proven to be good at, his fighting game accomplishments, is purely autistic because you literally cannot back it up (as it stands right now, if he eventually falls that fall will be fantastic and anything but graceful).

As other posters have said, he does play Tekken. He sometimes practices with everyone's favorite King player, Lil Majin. And from what I've seen, he's learning. But we all know how this story is gonna end. He'll get high up in a major, then get his ass whupped and humiliated by someone far more talented. A couple of players come to mind, Knee, Kkokkoma, Arslan Ash, Speedkicks, JDCR, etc. There's a bunch of Tekken players, godlike or not, who will beat sonic fox.

The question is, will sonic fox chimp out again like he's done in the past when someone has whupped his ass?
