Just gonna take a moment to remind everyone to not download the google and apple spy applications for "contact tracing" and to not support any effort by their local government to expand monitoring of your individual activities. If you think they will stop doing these things when the virus threat abates you are a fool. I would even encourage our resident web heads to keep an eye out to them sneaking those apps in without telling you in "an update".

I feel your argument about it being a bit of a strawman similar to the climate change deniers but the difference is the climate change deniers are not actively creating more CO2 in the atmosphere to further prove their point that climate change is a myth, unlike the protesters who are actively engaging in an activity to promote further outbreaks. People are criticizing them because the concept of protesting a virus during a pandemic is a ludicrous proposition especially to regular folk who may not be as informed about the entire scenario.
Protesting a virus like the muslims and indians did is retarded.

Protesting the lockdowns is a constitutional right and in areas that have barely even been affected at all makes perfect sense.

Tell me, for instance, in straya. Where the lockdown literally made no fucking sense. Once the virus actually gets there and starts spreading. What then? Will they lock down again and sink their economy so far into hell they cannot avoid bankrupcy, or will they have to let it eat its way through the population with no safety layer to attempt to minimize economic impact, risking a healthcare collapse?

A lockdown causes heavy damage. A premature and unneeded lockdown not only doesn't work, it puts the country in a state where if a lockdown becomes necessary it can't be done anymore, because the socioeconomic repercussions are too great.

Brief Polish news: +300/+20/+211 new cases/deaths/recoveries. Plus one of the private labs screwed up a batch of tests, so 63 confirmed false positives were accordingly subtracted from the total number. And last but not least, one of our research centers says they're about to unveil a genetic corona susceptibility test. Can we finally find out what makes this disease range from literally nothing to drowning in blood? Probably not, but it's nice to dream.

Protesting a virus like the muslims and indians did is exceptional.

Look can we just agree that the concept of gathering in person to protest a virus during a pandemic is a preposterous idea from a scientific angle at least.

The Cope Is Real.

Why? It’s outdoors inwarm weather and direct sunlight. It’s just like the moron in Kalifornia closing all the beaches again because they dared to have fun. Completely ignoring that outside, on the beach on a hot Kalifornia day, is probably the safest place in the world from Corona-Chan. Unless people start spitting in each other’s mouths.

See what people miss is the multiple orders of difference in air volume between inside in a confined space, (such as a New York City Subway cars, which have not been closed, or cleaned since this began, on Cuomo’s orders.) vs outside in the open air. Which dilutes any pathogens almost instantly. Aerosol transmission is likely not possible outdoors, and droplet transmission is unlikely unless people are deliberately sneezing in each other’s faces. The protestors standing outside are far far safer and far less a risk than the oh so essential workers inside the Governors Office.

They already have told us all that these will not be optional installations. In the next few weeks every single Android and iOS phone will get a "security update" that will include these apps. And yes, the only way to stop the abuse of these apps is to literally not make them in the first place.

From now on you can assume any phone you use that was made post oh, May 2020 is spying on your location and associations 24/7.

Nope, the cars are cleaned and in fact, New York City is stopping overnight subway service for the first time since the early 20th century in order to clean subways cars every night beginning tonight. This is significant because NYC was the only subway to run 24/7 (it also doesn't charge per zone, that is you pay to get one fare to go anywhere the subway goes) I believe the cars and stations were disinfected every 72 hours before today's announcement.

All customers will be required to leave the trains and the stations during this time.
The MTA also announced a new code of conduct Wednesday amid the coronavirus pandemic that includes:
--No person is permitted to remain in a station for more than an hour
--No person can remain on a train or platform after an announcement that the train is being taken out of service
--Wheeled carts greater than 30 inches in length or width, including shopping and grocery carts, are banned
The City has agreed to deploy additional NYPD resources systemwide.

I'm pretty sure this was done to stop the hobos from using the trains as sleeping cars. Great, now they'll sleep inside the bank ATMs or probably where we keep the trash.

Honestly the NYC cleaning their subways is the only good thing to come out of these corona-chan lockdowns. Shits fucking disgusting and everytime I took the train (years ago) I always got sick from...Something. Probably homeless feces particles.

The official reason they're doing this is to gear up for commuters getting back on the trains.

I think more rural places should reopen, but opening a dense, dirty city like New York is cognitively impaired.

My sister works for a transit system for a major NA city its mostly there to show a vote of confidence to the public that riding the rails is safe. Ridership in my metropolitan area is down 85% roughly people are avoiding it as much as possible.

well subways arent that common, but alot of cities have 24/7 trams
The NYC subway is actually one of the few good things in the city but cleaning it would be like one of the 12 mythical labors of Hercules, where he diverted a river to clean the Aegean Stables. I think there's muck on the tracks from the early 20th century.

Didn't know where to put this

Clearly not in this thread it goes against the narrative that this is not a major problem us people just want to go back to work remember the flu kills more people and that this is just an effort to make donald trump lose the election. Germ Theory is just a government psyop.

We can't work again until there is zero chance we will get sick ever?

Looking good guys lets get back to work.
This is not meant to criticize, honest but do you work? I am somewhat in favor of the continued caution but I have been living off savings and haven't gotten unemployment $ because the system is fucked and incompetent. My job may or may not be there depending on when I can get back to it. If I had no savings I would have been 100% fucked.

What choice do we have though the government is taking this seriously and doing fucked up shit to get their way. I can't imagine the world as a whole setting everyone up for failure for the LULZ shit is going down. Lets just play it right and get through this.

Unemployment benefits are pretty generous where I live but even I recognize that the system can't support this sort of payout forever. I'm going to try and use my free time until I get back to work to get my ducks in a row because hard times are ahead. Big spending on frivolous things is out of the question. When I hear that people have taken their Trumpbux and used them to get 4k big screen TVs, I have to wonder if there's any sanity left in this world. Who would look at a time as chaotic as this and think "Now's the time to splurge on shit I don't need"? *

*Okay. I know the answer is negros, but I'm a big fan of not stating the obvious...
