I asked ComicsGaters to collect all of Preston's public tweets and videos related to his reporting Cecil's IGG campaign, for possible legal purposes.

Turned out that Preston couldn't get Cecil's campaign knocked down, so it didn't matter.

I might be missing something here, feel free to share instances of someone first mentioning anything in regards to "assassinating Ethan Van Sciver", but since TUG was stupid enough to spread the lie that Renfamous trashed his mailbox, when he did it himself, I wouldn't be surprised and would in fact find it hilarious if Ethan was to fake an assassination attempt himself by either burning his own house down or something very similar only for it to come out that it was fake.

Rather than using drama as a tool to drum up interest as @TrunksFromDragonballGT has suggested, it's rather clear that Ethan just has no impulse control to refrain from engaging no matter how obviously retarded the engagement is and uses that excuse to justify it to himself and his ball washers. If he was truly using drama as a tool, he'd avoid also using drama to shit where he eats.

A person who puts "pleasing customers" and "selling hot dogs" above all else would not be treating former customers like this; they'd simply say something like "Vikki wasn't satisfied with her purchase and I think that I've done all I can to make it right. <insert actions Ethan has taken re: bad product here>.
