Well since we can finally close the books on Liam Gray's assault allegation, I guess we can get back on topic by talking about Jawbreakers 3: Grand Bizarre.

The book is meant to launch on IGG in less than 24hrs, he talks about it in his latest vid, I've copied the link with the timestamp.

Key takeaways:
-There will be the main book and a pin-up for $25, a variant cover (done by Zack) and pin-up for $25 and a two pack for $45
-The book will be set in Afghanistan 2008, the Grand Bazaar appears every 99 years. Inside anything can be found, haggled, bartered or traded for, everything has a price.
-The men who form the Jawbreakers will each find themselves inside, so this is an origin story of the team I guess.
-There will be a bundle with Godking and add-ons with merch.
-Zack implies pinups, trading cards and bookmarks will be stretchgoals.

I'll be interested to see how well this campaign performs, I found Lost Souls and Godking to be okay at best. I'll probably end up backing it, but I'll be interested to see if the drop-off will be as large as from Lost Souls to Godking. If I had to guess I'd say it will probably do around the same numbers as Godking, since The Expendables only did slightly worse than that campaign.

So for those of you who witnessed other gates, how much more gas does this have?

I'd argue it's been pretty much dead since early/mid 2019. The Quartering is a dumb fat fuck, but he wasn't wrong when he showed all the data on his first "anti-CG" stream. Both Ethan and Zack's channels have hit a wall, neither of them is gaining subs and in Ethan's case he was losing them. The idiot hid his subscriber count there for a while which is always a sign of stagnation among youtubers.

The backer numbers from previous books are going down, Jawbreakers Godking was one of the biggest and Rekt Planet looks like it will come up short. Iron Sights and Brand 2 are also down on their previous counts and I'd argue The Expendables was a massive under-performer considering its brand recognition. Jawbreakers Godking got over 6500 backers, less than a year later and the Expendables is struggling towards half that number.

Google analytics shows that searches for the term #Comicsgate is pretty much dead and was at its highest in 2018. Every time there is a drama, whichever creator is exiled or leaves takes a chunk of the community with it. Tim Lim, Nerkish, Doug even Mike S Miller all have fans who now have formed little factions and fiefdoms. They may only have a small group of die-hard fans but with all the creators that have left I would argue that number is adding up.

You also have too many creators now fighting over too small of an audience. CG was bragging that Dan Fraga was going to hit 6 figures in under 24 hours, its several days later and his almost at 90k. He'll definitely hit 6 figures before it ends, but he won't be making big money like Zack and Ethan, I'd expect his campaign to finish somewhere around 160-200k. On the surface this looks good, but it's just showing that CG as a whole as kind of hit a brick wall in terms of growth. Everyday I'd argue more people leave than come in and people only have so much discretionary income to spend on $25 comic books, especially with the global economy shut down.

He goes to great lengths to hide his name from the public. The guy uses a PO Box registered to a 70 year old Lorraine Rosa. He claims to live in Brooklyn but seems to live in Glen Head NY. And is quite possibly some sort of family bum type who has spent his adult life freeloading off family. Some think he may be a registered sex offender. It is interesting that he makes sure to warn that his Twitter and YouTube are not for kids. A registered sex offender would need to do that to stay out of contact with children if they don't want law enforcement investigating their online activities if they were ever exposed.

Using the fake name 'Cecil Jones' at IGG would also prevent law enforcement and persons who might know of and be angry at sex crimes committed by him, from stumbling upon knowledge of his campaign and outing him. For example;, if he raped someone and was prosecuted, and started the Cecil garbage but let people know his real name, an angry victim or someone sympathetic towards them could be Googling his name, see his campaign and warn the public. But in my opinion the sick cult of Comicsgate would only want to support him more.

Apparently EVS made him send him photos of his exposed face during his initiation into Comicsgate then after promising to show no one, showed it to many. But Cecil is a good bitch and continued to serve his pimp.

I think Heather Antos had already doxed Meyer's name at that point, but I'm unsure of the timeline on that. I do know that he stopped updating his LinkedIn specifically so they couldn't target his old IT job like they were trying to and he's still very careful not to reveal where he actually lives. Not sure if he would have put out his real name otherwise at that point. There's also TUG(...damn he is not a great example right now), but he didn't put his real name on the campaign, but people did get their books. Then there's Raging Golden Eagle who's raised over $200k (jesus that's a lot) and counting and as far as I know, no one knows his real name.

There's probably more, but my point is that people will give you that money if you build up the right reputation. Is it smart? I dunno, but people are willing to roll the die to take that risk if you earned it in their eyes.
