I was scrolling through old pages trying to find something specific and came across this, from almost 3 years ago.

Literally nothing has changed.

>Akademi used to have a baseball team, but not anymore
>Another nearby school has a basebal team and they use Akademi for storage, that's why there's bats
>The new Sports Club president is trying out for the triathlon, which is why the entire backyard of the school was transformed into a running track and swimming pool
I'm gonna guess Alex didn't go to a small school. A lot of rural areas (hell a lot of schools in general) have the baseball fields out in the middle of nowhere or further away from the school.
Thinking about ways he could fix this:

  • You could have locker storage at the school for the baseball stuff, and then have them leave to go to the field after school to practice. Either have that be a time where those students are gone and you cannot approach them, or go back to the hub and make it a separate area. Really that might be more beneficial as it would cut down on the overall space of the school and limit how many characters are in the area at a time.
  • Just throw up some batting cages and pitching nets in the back of the school and say the field is somewhere else. Four or five batting cages wouldn't take up that much space and then he could even add a kill where you speed up the pitching machine so a ball conks someone in the head.
  • Do what you suggest and replace the pool/track with a field.
Personally I think the first one wouldn't be too hard and would make the game seem fuller just by adding that area, but now that I think about it the batting cages would also not take up too much space and could add to the game as well.

As a tsundere lover i agree with that, they are fucking awful. But they actually do shit, unlike Alex " it's been 6 years and she's still not done" Mahan.

Yeah, tsundere's can work but in general they're done really badly. It's understandable that anyone would hate a woman who's initially highly standoffish and even abusive. The worst offender in this regard is probably Love Hina, but a more recent offender is Houki from Infinite Stratos. You can only pull off "Hahaha, she beat the shit out of him for misspeaking!" so often before you start hating the character.

A proper tsundere should have a rational reason to be standoffish at first and progress to eventually become more open, rather than constantly flipping back and forth between hot and cold. It's a good way to fake character development. Time to reveal my power level and expose my shit taste in anime but Erina from Shokugeki no Soma and Noelle from Black Clover are decent modern examples IMO. For Erina, the Central Arc retroactively reveals that Erina had understandable reasons for treating Soma so harshly and eventually she learns to treat him better as well as discover her true self, whereas Noelle's tsun tendencies stem from the fact that she's a noble but at the same time horrible with magic.

So it's understandable that a lot of people hate tsundere's for how badly they tend to be written. But being so autistic as to make the first rival in your schoolgirl murder simulator a tsundere out of sheer hatred for the archetype is autistic. Almost as autistic as making an entire game purely because you're buttmad that a top Indie game designer dared critique your shoddily slapped together game rather than falling on his knees in praise because you made a menu selection screen.

I've been lurking in this thread for a while but only got something interesting to add now. I tried asking YanDev if he had any proof that he apologizes to his fans and this is what he said.

I find it pretty funny that this is what he considers creepy and wrong.
This is considered wrong to him? I don't get where did Alex get the impression that him apologizing to is photoshopped or some bizarre fantasies he came up with.

One of the main issues Alex gets some backlash for is his refusal for apologizing for his actions. There's definitely gonna be some assholes who will say "Your apology is not enough!/You're not genuine enough in your apology!/I won't accept your apology until you do X" etc., but at least we can see Alex actually making apologies which is pretty rare for him.

Even if hypothetically Alex photoshopped the screenshot (which is highly unlikely), what is even the motivation for him to even shop it? That he does not ever apologize to his fans in that scenario which contradicts what he intends to which does not make any sense?

The drop continues, who knows, the recovery might not make it back to above 2000$ anymore.
I'll wait for a week to see if he actually drops below $2,000. If it does, it's gonna pile a lot of pressure on Alex.

I can expect more mature 18+ game collaborations for Yandere Simulator later for more quick bucks.

I'm gonna guess Alex didn't go to a small school. A lot of rural areas (hell a lot of schools in general) have the baseball fields out in the middle of nowhere or further away from the school.

Small schools also tend to have at least one storage room full of stuff no one uses that was bought by school as part of some initiative. Not even needed baseball field or anything to explain why there are bats there. Just make some student's or even council, for example small talk about how bad it is that sports equpment collects dust there.
Of course it would require YanDev to actually add new room. Which was already stated to be not an option

Would he actually need to add a new room to? Last time i saw gameplay footage there where tons of empty rooms around the school.

Alex has never been to a real school. Aside from that, in his own lore Akademi is a rich ass custom built school, like hell in reality it'd let some other school store their shit in its storage.

I think Alex is trying to do a M'aiq The Liar type of thing by having characters who lampshade shortcomings of the game. He's just not very good at it and it comes off more like he's making excuses rather than playfully poking fun at his own work.

Exactly, Alex bases his school design off anime tropes and anime vidya games. That's why to us "normies" who actually went to school Akademi High makes you go "what the fuck" a lot of times.

A little off topic and speaking of tsunderes.

Is it just me or does Alex's hatred of tsunderes possibly stem from the fact that tsunderes, by default, tend to be aggressive and quick to point out someone's flaws instead of kissing ass just like them damn dirty gremlins? And as we all know, Alex hates criticism so someone giving him a bit of tough love is something he would vehemently hate.
You'd think that a guy called EVAxephon would find tsunderes more appealing. One of the main characters of EVA is a tsundere. Asuka is probably the most well-known, very blunt, tsun in the history of the archetype.

Sidenote: I tend to find tsunderes either annoying or feel apathetic towards them. The reasons why so many tsuns suck is because writers tend to think cramming in tropes makes a character interesting. It doesn't. Having a "normal", popular, girl bitch at the MC when he so much as looks at her is very annoying and rarely is done well. Often the case with "modern" tsuns is that they act that way because of something to the effect of their childhood crush "didn't notice them".
The reason why Asuka, to many, is so great is because it is understandable why she bitches out Shinji (because she's trying to look adult and brave to hide her trama from childhood so she hates his cowardice). She also warms up to him.

Alex is probably going to write shitty trope-fus as rivals. I mean Osana is already the classic "modern tsundere". I don't have any expectation that the game isn't going to go above meme status.

Here's the apology. You cant go to imgur from kiwifarms. The link gets denied. Null explained it somewhere a year or two ago.

The stress of what? Being told that your game is shit? Or is it the cum chalice shitposting? Which one Alex, which one :story:

I just noticed that his Patreon was again set to 18+. According to Graphtreon data it happened on April 22nd.

What rule of the SFW Patreon did he break again?
He might not have even broken any, could be just trying to further hammer in the point that the game is 18+.

Personally I would have, since it's set in a school and they're in middle school uniforms, gone for a teen rating by cutting out the lewd shit and making the gore less graphic. Yan-chan's mental instability can be attributed somewhat to going through puberty. Games that are less restrictive means more people can access it, which further cements the point to me that it's just an excuse for Alex to fetishize teenagers and have a justification for it. I feel like going for an 18+ rating while personally remaining a degenerate will only harm the game if by some flying fucking miracle it does get released.
