Not normally like this. Some towns are different though. Smaller, more rural places can kinda use realtors to gatekeep their neighbors to an extent. If you have a noisy block or houses miles apart everyone's lived in for a couple decades, there's an equilibrium to be maintained. I've had some places where the realtor is part of the town and you knowing them opens up lots of social circles. In metro areas or suburbs it's just transaction, nothing more.Is it normal in the US to take photos with your realtor when closing the deal or are they offering people money/discount for promotional use? Its just so weird to me.
This just seems like some promotion, something tells me they really, really wanted to jump on that photo opportunity while they had a perfect POC on hand.
