There's no video, but it did happen. Forget the guy's actual fandom name, but his actual fursona was a husky.

And he was a contemporary of Simba the Cop-Fighter in the upper-midwest scene.

I saw it happen in RF15. Dude just collapsed. Everyone thought he was having a heatstroke but it turned out to be LSD or something later. He was cut out of his suit by EMTs. Shit was wild. He made it but he was losing his shit about being cut out since it ruined the suit.

Fred Patten ( who died in 2018 ) wrote scads of books on various geek fandoms. I’d argue he was probably best known for anime fan history stuff, having started trying to localize works all the way back in the 70s. Modern English anime fandom owes a lot to him.

So about the Chlorine Gas Attack.

Someone posted a rumor a while back in this thread from 4chan. The claim was that the gas attack wasn't malicious and it was just some dumb fuck taking bad advice on how to clean his suit. Was there any merit to that and can anyone find that post?

And you can be 100% sure it happens a lot more in the after-con room parties. The difference there is that the other people in the room get the overdosing idiot out of the suit before the EMTs show up.

So, here's the lesson for any furries reading this: if you're going to take copious amounts of hard drugs, save yourself a fursuit and do it during the hotel room diaper orgy instead of on the con floor.

Tumbles was noteworthy during his time. This event happened in 2007 and became something of a meme during that era. It happened in the time before most furry scandals kicked off and was sort of a precursor to the kind of dramatic nonsense that would eventually become the norm at furry conventions after the fact.

I took a little bit to threadsearch various words and phrases and came up empty-handed. KF's search tool has a dropdown for only searching a single thread, so if you remember a specific word in the post or who posted it, you can narrow things down very quickly.

I did did come across this though, if you want more content for your OP. In addition to what that post talks about re: feces in Anthrocon hotel rooms, I remember hearing rumblings that cat furries had litterboxes in their rooms and were shitting in them.
