I just gotta ask, when in the holy heck will writers get it through their thick skulls that the last thing you should do when making a sequel is to unceremoniously kill off a beloved character from the original just to replace them with someone the audience has no connection to, and that it is just a cheap way to "shock" them?

Apparently, many folks on Twitter and the like are complaining about people who are mad at the plot leaks, saying that you can't judge the game yet, as those plot details are out of context, and in context, it will all make sense and work out.

The first scripted sequence teleports them both to a completely different part of that warehouse they're in.
I like how you can't take Ellie head on. She just dodges your shit and shoots you, knowing she can't very well take Abby in a direct confrontation... where then Abby has to ironically sneak around. Are your expectations subverted yet?
I like that she's setting traps and using tactics the player would use. In any other case, I'm always hyped for Vergil-esque encounters, but the way this is presented just ruins it, because someone like Abby being sneaky breaks the immersion completely.

Back on topic, what's the next trend going to be? As if and when this fails, sony is probably going to be less than willing to fork over millions for another long production time "cinematic experiance type of game any time soon. I imagine sony would be more draconian with it's studios. Most of the money would probably be focused on GOW and Spiderman (and maybe Kojima projects).
The PS5 better have a strong catalog of games that aren't tLoU2 otherwise it'll struggle like the PS3 did.

It's kinda funny how western devs and journalists are so averse to sexualization of women and sexual content (when it appeals to straight men) in general in video games, but gleefully include hyperrealistic violence against women, with the sick directors of this and other games like the newer Lara Croft games going onto sites like Liveleaks and spending hours watching real people die brutal, horrible deaths on camera, then recreating those deaths in animation, with full voice acting to simulate those gruesome deaths, and western journos lap that shit up, because it's "artistic".
It's like these soy boys have had enough of pretending to be progressive and walk on eggshells in public and take out their real aggression on the women in the games they develop in the form of "artistic" violence. I am 97% sure that most western game devs have some degree of ryona fetish. I'm 100% sure every dev on this game in specific have ryona fetishes worse than most Jap devs. Seriously, the most you see in a Jap game, for example, Nier Automata, is some impalement and a little blood with comically long east asian swords, and even then, it only happens a few times in the story (and they're all repairable robots too...). None of this realistic strangulation, or women having their heads slammed into the floor until they bleed, or decapitation, or throat slitting with realistic blood gurgling (note how in games like Lara Croft, it's all done by men, btw (though in this one, now, it's being done by a mannish tranny)).
I guaran-fucking-tee you TLOU2 will be a contender for GOTY because of the journalists that kiss ass to these games. If the leaks hadn't happened, they would be all over Druckmann's dick, jumping up and down in glee about how "brave" he is for killing off the main character and replacing them with a mary sue tranny. Now, their chance to hype the game up for its guaranteed spot on the Game Awards is gone, so they'll probably have to slip it in there under the radar.
Seeing Schrier's little boot-licking ass trying to run around and do damage control for ND is funny too.
For however long years idiots like him have run the gaming journalism scene, they've done whine about japanese games having attractive girls with large breasts and write articles about why they are sexist and should be censored, and get like-minded idiots on localization teams censoring them, and then write articles about why those evil nasty "gamurrs" are bad and idiots for being mad when they do get censored. Warriors against sexism sure do love to see women get their teeth bashed in and pregnancies physically aborted though.
