I think special pleading is closer.

Association fallacy is great too.

"You aren't like me, so you do not even have a right to think about or hold opinions on my plight."

$12.50 (he would get $12.50 back) out of $10,000 cuts the profit margins too thin for his business

Also keep in mind that he would only spend that $12.50 after he makes $100 only in tips only for that stream alone.

So he's still profited at least $87.50 plus all cheers and subs.

Then again, he also used to claim that he couldn't do "DSP Tries It" anymore because he wouldn't make back 100% of the costs in ad revenue. For a meal that he would eat anyway. That would be less than $20.

He cares that fucking little about giving back to his fans that he won't spend $10-$20 while making $10K/month and over $200 in cash every day.

Then again, he cares so little about his own business that he's using a seven year old Windows 8 computer because "it still works so why would I upgrade?" It's too expensive to pay $130 for Windows 10! Or use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and do it for free. That takes effort. I imagine DSP turned off automatic upgrades because they were bothering him too. I can only imagine the state of his software right now.

He's regarded everywhere as a joke, can't get sponsorship and has no anonymity. He's basically one fickle twitch mod decision or medical issue away from financial ruin at any time.

He's self employed so unless he's a colossal tard he should have some good health insurance....oh wait we're talking about dsp.

The inevitable divorce will be fun too.

Phil finally updated his upcoming gaming schedule on his twitch page:
hYQxOMn.png
He still does that weird thing where he calls them "projects"

First it was the Project 7 ruining his throat lore, now it's I used to be poor talk. Used to eat two McDoubles before work started at Best Buy and then two McDoubles for dinner.

Maybe Nancy should put him back on that diet.
it was two mcdoubles in the morning and one mcdouble and two mcchickens for dinner, c'mon, he kept it light in the evenings.
What? His original story was that he would eat a single McDouble for breakfast, then eat a single McChicken for lunch, and then eat nothing else and maybe drink some alcohol for dinner. So now we've gone from his sob story of only eating $2 worth of McDonald's food a day at 800 calories total plus getting drunk, to eating 1,600-2,000 calories of McDonald's sandwiches a day for $4 to $5 plus getting drunk :cringe: Fuck you Mr. DePhil.

Oh, by the way this was from one of his $50 Patreon perk videos, so there you go. Pay $50 for the privilege of Darksy personally lying to you to manipulate more money out of you. Clearly a much better deal than paying a celebrity willing to whore themselves out to make a meme video.

Indeed. I'm envious of what Phil has now and the opportunities he's had... definitely not envious of his near future.
What’s there to be envious of? He makes a lot of money...but look at his debt, look at the miserable life beyond the camera, the mans basically traded any semblance of a sane life for the ability to beg to tards for money.

I always wonder the thought process when people say they are envious or jealous of him. If you’re envious of his money there’s millions of other people who are actually rich you could be envious of instead, hell there’s plenty of successful streams who still have an actual happy life you would be better off feeling envious for.

Darks personal life is a joke, and if you’re going to separate his personal life fuck ups from his money just to give a reason to be envious he’s still relativly low on the list of people actually worth being envious over.

If you wanna say you’re jealous or envious of his streams because he makes so much money I’ll once again point to actual good streamers who don’t clearly hate their job and have a big enough following that they don’t need to constantly talk about money every single fucking day, and they don’t need to stream every damn day.

I know people overlook this because it’s playing video games, but dark legit “works” 6 day’s a week, fuck that lol. Successful streamers probably make the money he does streaming half that time a week.

Just look at that maxamillion guy, he has a much bigger fanbase than dark, gets good YouTube views, has his friends on stream and assuredly has some sort of social life with said friends, seems to actually enjoy himself when he plays games, A wife that’s not afraid to come on stream and seems to have a healthy relationship with her, streams way less days than dark, and has a kid on the way.

The only thing I don’t know is if he makes more than dark, but given the fanbase size, id be willing to assume he does, and he’s not even close to the biggest following in twitch. And he really doesn’t seem like he’s putting in all that much effort into it on the average day, sure dark Puts in literally zero effort, but the gap from zero to some really ain’t that big a deal.

My point is dark does literally nothing better than anyone on twitch, The few isolated examples worth being jealous or envious over are still not worth it, there are plenty of other people that have everything better going for him, the only actual edge dark has is how he gets away with a lack of effort. If the only thing you take away from him is his “success” to effort ratio you’re just looking at it the wrong way, cause this shit is just pathetic, and not worth the rest of his shitty life.

God I’m not excited to see him play fire emblem. There’s genuinely nothing in it that’s going to appeal to him except it’s a pretty easy entry. He’s going to hate the plot, he’s going to hate the animu characters and listening to the support conversations, and he’s going to hate all the little shit to do at the monastery.
Are you kidding? I'm going to love him being relentlessly sour and angry every time he has to interact with the female students. He has a WIFE, dood!
... Wonder if he'll end up only inviting the male characters to tea.

He cares that fucking little about giving back to his fans that he won't spend $10-$20 while making $10K/month and over $200 in cash every day.
The problem is, his fans keep paying him to do absolutely nothing. As long as his fans keep giving him money to sit on his ass all day and berate them, why should he bother to do anything more for them? He doesn't have to do anything for them because they're going to give him money regardless. If someone got paid $120,000 when on unemployment and could stay on it indefinitely, would they ever bother looking for a job?

Of course Phil doesn't give a shit about his fans, he only cares about the money he gets from them.

As exceptional as Phil is for expecting money for nothing, it is even more exceptional to give Phil money for nothing. Phil isn't going to change anything or give his fans jack shit in return as long as he keeps hitting the tips goal.

I want to touch upon the topic of Dark and his ability to generate upwards of $10,000 a month (and sometimes more), the envy that sometimes stems from looking at that number and looking at your own situation then getting depressed about it.

It’s not fair. It really isn’t. I remember when I graduated from a Top 25 college in the country and I was still making about $15,000 less annually than Dark is currently making (that was about 12 years ago). It wasn’t until three years later that I started making significantly more than money than DSP but it was within an extremely difficult and competitive landscape. When Dark vomits the words “working my ass off,” he has no idea what the term means but I do and to anybody who is currently in a difficult and demanding job, it's downright insulting to your own experience and what you believe hard work actually entails. And it disgusts me that he has the audacity to utter such nonsense and actually believe it. But unlike Phil, those years he wasted insulating himself in his shitty middle-unit condo, I was learning how to work within a team, manage projects, and discover what I was good and bad at.

It felt rewarding in watching my ability to work in a team environment and slowly realize that I could make something out of myself. It wasn’t until years later that I realized the only way to make the big bucks would be to own my own businesses and stop working in salary positions by taking a huge risk and betting all my savings into applying all that I learned over the years and see if I could do what I was trained to do better than the people who hired me. And now what Dark makes in a month has become an amount insignificant enough that it doesn’t even make me raise an eyebrow.

But it’s for that exact reason why DSP espouses so many feelings of anger and personifies so many things that are wrong in this country: the difficulty of your job has often nothing to do with the money that you take home. Some of the lowest paying jobs are also some of the most labor intensive ones. Phil reminds of Homer Simpson in the Frank Grimes episode where this hard-working, honest individual is completely shocked about Homer’s incompetence and buffoonery. He ultimately loses his sanity over Homer’s ability to succeed in life and how other people don’t care enough to call him out on being the wasteful idiot that he is.

It’s the same for Phil: how do you reconcile the fact that one of the most undeserving pieces of shit on the internet, a guy who’s an all-around scumbag, can make so much money and still live a comfortable and easy life? You can’t because he is operating within a system that isn’t fair in the first place. Phil has never deserved all the good things that have happened to him. He was in the right place, at the right time and profited from being an early adopter of video capture technology. He was a leech then and is a leech now.

Although money brings comfort, security and to a certain extent happiness, the context within which that money is spent is the most important factor. In Dark’s case, he squandered the fuck out of it and is running his good graces on empty juices. He has no job prospects, no marketable/ actionable skills entering his 40s, a house he’s about to lose, a ridiculous amount of debt for someone who makes as much as money as does, no friends, a shitty marriage, and bad health.

At the end of the day, if you were in Phil’s situation, no matter how much money you were making, you’d be playing catch-up for the rest of your life trying to fix the train wreck that has become your life. It’s not worth it to look at him and envy him. The money he makes is the only positive aspect currently in his life. Phil is the example of what you don’t want your life to become.

Shit, I make $33k a year and I have more in savings than DSP does, so I guess I don't feel too bad.

At least FE3H should be funny as hell, I bet he picks Deer and loses his fucking mind the whole time. Its not a particularly short game either and you can't really min/max it without actually playing unless he does a stream of just grinding free battles.

I'm furloughed from my job still and I still have more in savings than Pig.

Is it annoying a nearly reeetarded narcissist makes 100k? Yeah, it is. But this mentally challenged egotistical slob is 500k in debt, has to lie to himself every day, and is desperately trying to lie his way out of losing this condo he places his entire ego on.

So honestly I'm not mad. Only bored until something happens with Pig's trial since he's a boring fuck and I don't know why people obsessively watch him.

It appears the vest streak is on its last legs. Even if it keeps going until 100, it'll be a whole bunch of what happened last stream: Phil's legendary combo of putting the vest on for 10 minutes tops into "thanks for the money dummies" clockout. That sure is one hell of a way to spend your money during these times.
Christ, at least get a hooker or something (once the pandemic is over). They'll probably come cheaper than 100 bucks, too.

I have mixed feelings about it. Assuming he plays on normal, I think he'll be able to breeze through it, especially if he plays with permadeath off. I also think he'll want to breeze through all of the social aspects. If he doesn't, it'll just be him silently staring at the screen struggling to stay awake, which is arguably more boring than him just breezing through the game.

But, the big wildcard is chat reaction. FE is a popular series, in no small part because there are a lot of ways to play the game/lots of characters to interact with. Everyone has their favorite characters/paths, so if Phil does his usual thing of relying on chat handholding, it might end up being too chaotic of a mess for him to get through. I could also see chat getting annoyed if he tried to skip the social aspects/if he doesn't prioritize the right support options.

DSP seems especially bad at making any sort of decisions in games lately, so if he's relying on handholding for something like which house to pick in the beginning, he might end up overwhelmed with answers, since it's largely a personal preference and not something with a definitive right answer. With how angry Phil has been lately, I'm hoping it'll produce some good quality salt. But, if it ends up like Minecraft where he just follows the instructions of one paypig, I think it'll end up being pretty boring.

Chris Hansen's Cameo for DarkSydePhil
View attachment 1269438
"hey, so ure name is pandalee -_^ ure cute, is it ok if i have come over"

"whaaa chris hansen?! CMON DOOD! I DID NOTHING WRUNG!"

Big ups to mollymawk for the clip.

bruh, the only ppl in the world who would brag about being successful while filing for bankruptcy is phil and trump

Phil just blew up about the celebrity cameo vids, saying they're a stupid waste of money.
Someone asked if he would do one if he were paid and he said it was stupid and he wouldn't.
Mr.Genius then realized that he does do this, it's his $50 Patreon perk. He probably forgot this because he refuses to mention the non-existent perks on stream.
He then plugs the Patreon perk. We should check it out if we want a video from him.
Phil alludes to this being better than the cameos because his videos are not public. Unless the person chooses to make them public. Yes, this makes no sense.
Phil then pauses before asking how much they charge - "I wonder if it's more than my Patreon?"
When he finds out it is $100 dollars, he scoffs and reacts with shock! $100! For that? What a waste! Phil says "Holy schnikies!"

Phil's brain then finally catches up. He realizes that he just shit on wasting $100 while he sits wearing a vest for 30 minutes for $100. He suddenly says "That was a Chris Farley reference!"
Phil then proceeds to detail his love of Farley, and then begins to get sad over the fact that Farley is dead.
Phil then says "Okay, no more of that, now I'm sad. Someone say something to cheer me up, fast!"

Great save, Phil. The only time he can launch a topic of his own is when he desperately needs to change the subject because he realized he just exposed the little mong behind the curtain.

"im not going to twitch, i hate twitch, i dont want to be mr views views views sitting at a screen thanking people for donating like a robot"
phil, youre the waste of fkin money

Cameo is probably a decent source of money for smaller-time celebrities and requires even less work than Paul puts in on the regular. Hell you don't even have to be an actual celebrity, just mildly internet famous like EatDatPussy445.

I think there's some real comedic potential here given that you can hire Solid Snake for $60. I'm just too tired to come up with something good.

When you have no money (me) you start to feel a little angry that someone like Dark makes so much. That things are unfair (for some, really unfair). Makes you lose faith. I'm not jealous of his money, youre angry that someone that big a piece of shit has been handed everything, even if he then fucks it up through sheer ineptitude.

When you have nothing you will take anything, when you have it all you realise its nothing.
