Some thoughts: game runs smoothest I've ever seen, controls are a bit fucky but that can change with native Xinput. Also links to the development discord have been disabled.

Really wanna make another point of it: the inner development circle and fans are trying very hard to keep this from being accessible because of how fast this can and will escalate. I've done all I can to provide an accessible version and a list of controls, since they used a really fucking strange way to bind the controls.

You know this is simultaneously one of the most boring and most interesting projects I've seen. On one hand it's literally just Mario 64, same shit that everyone's been playing since 1996, nothing particularly interesting to note. But that's also quite a complement to the quality of the port, it seems to be just as good as console/emulation, just with shit like the ui able to adjust to widescreen and better performance. With that said though I have no clue how doable playing ROM hacks would be via the PC version, so that's still gonna give a emulated copy a big advantage unless that's worked out. Not to mention now that it's public it's gonna be DMCA'd to high hell, so getting a hold of copy while will certainly be doable isn't gonna be any easier then getting a N64 version. Overall I think it's kind of a neat project, certainly whoever's doing it has done a good job, but I kind of think it will be more of a novelty then anything else.

No matter how hard I try I cannot penetrate through the virginal walls of these parallel universes. (:_(
You need to be faster than half-an-A press!

I tried a version on 4chan, and other than a prettier full screen (which I couldn't get actual full screen, just the window bigger), I couldn't tell it apart from the emulator. The timing for the slide (makes penguin harder, makes the star in the princess slide harder) still seemed faster than I remember it being.
