Enough with the ozone fear mongering. We get it, it's dangerous just like most sanitizing agents. It's used by realtors all the time to quickly deodorize a stinky room before a showing, and it's built into millions of hot tubs to sanitize water with less chemicals needed. So if a fucking realtor can use it and not be scurrd, you can to! Open a window when you're done, problem solved.

No, the geniuses who put their entire states on house arrest are so fucked. We aren't. Hope Washington doesn't give the states ONE FUCKING PENNY. Simply cannot believe nobody seemed to make the connection between people not working, people not buying gas, people not shopping much, and people not staying in hotels/motels/etc. and tax revenues taking a dive. Am never voting for any more tax increases and bond issues to pay drones their bloated paychecks and even more bloated pensions. I see precious little the state or county does for me except half-assed maintaining of the roads. But I have seen plenty of county employees standing around apparently doing nothing but smelling farts.

Well here's the thing that should be obvious, but everyone in their media driven frenzy misses. "Why would you isolate Asymptomatic people?" Aside from the obvious keep them out of certain high density, high risk, locations. Say Nursing Homes, Naval Vessels and Prisons for example. You want the asymptomatics out there wandering around. You want more asymptomatics! It's the only way this ends. The more asymptomatic carriers you have, the facter it burns through the population and burns itself out. Yeah, there is some risk. Some people will experience worse outcomes. But the numbers we are more and more discovering are actually rather shockingly small. And may be manageable for most without endangering the health care system. We can't lock everybody up forever because someone might die. Cuomo's declaration that "No Deaths Are Acceptable!" Is beyond Moronic and is a simple excuse for outright Fascism. (Nevermind that he personally seeded the Nursing Homes with the virus by Executive Order thus deliberately murdering tens of thousands.)
Everyone keeps harping on testing. Other than as a research project and after action event post mortem of the entire Coronavirus response, it really serves no purpose anymore, unless used as a diagnostic tool on a symptomatic patient.

That's also because different places count recovered differently. Washington state has, like, 1 guy recovered. The very first guy in Everett and that's it. This is because they require some incredibly long period of being without symptoms to be considered recovered. You could go out there and run a half marathon but since you were ill in February, nope. They still aren't sure yet. This is playing all sorts of games with the numbers nationally since the states report to the feds.
Texas numbers are pretty fun though. They just went "well we haven't heard back from them and they didn't die" and they mark them recovered after two weeks.
But that means people will get sick and die. We can't have that. Locking ourselves inside our homes forever (because the virus mutates every picosecond and there are eleventy brazillion strains already, that's just science) is the only correct way to solve this. A Naturopath and a Chiropractor and a medical policy expert on TV all told me so. They are doctors.

I don't believe this disaster can be spun to make any Democrat nominee look better than Trump. It's laid bare the disorganization, corruption and hypocrisy of every state, regardless of party affiliations. NY is the best example of this because of Cuomo and his big mouth. Like @RodgerDodger posted, he's responsible for thousands of nursing home patients dying. NYC might have the best doctors and hospitals but not everyone can access them; we have the poorest Congressional district in the US next to the richest (the Bronx and Upper East Side). On the DM site there's a nurse describing the horrible care she saw patients receive that led to their deaths (archive) and there's also one about a boy with coronavirus who went into cardiac arrest and organ failure because his doctor didn't seem concerned about his fever and diarrhea (archive). The "No Deaths Are Acceptable!" declaration is going to sound less than hyperbole and more like deliberate falsehood and negligence come Election Day. Very few people believe any of these clowns have their best interest in mind, let alone care if they die from medical neglect, lack of food, no shelter or bad decisions. When you life has changed because the governor made it impossible for you to work, you can't pay your bills and survival is the only thing that matters, no one is going to care about voting when they're burying Mom because the nursing home was forced to accept sick patients.
If a political consultant thinks they can use this to win by blaming Trump I don't think its a good strategy since he's not the one responsible for shutting down a city of 8.5 million and policies that literally kill people while making promises he can't keep, especially when other states are already opening up.

There's more to this than mere hypocrisy. It tells us something about the seriousness of this illness. If Neil Ferguson is considered the most knowledgeable guide in this area by the governments then even if a hypocrite and a cheater you would keep him on because, as we are told, millions of lives are at stake. And if he wasn't, you wouldn't have him in the first place. The fact that PR rather than actual credentials and experience is the determining factor in whether he retains his role tells you something important about the actual priorities at play here.

The gov will have to agree." Then he went "the gov seriously needs to start reopening everything at the pace we set. The economy needs it." Which... was wrong. In that madrid needs to go slower because it's dense as fuck. But at least was in line with his beliefs. And made sense if you don't take into account density. Which I doubt he even understands at all. Then when this turned to possible no he went "well if the gov can't keep it up we'll just take control and keep the pace we ser" and now in the debate he just added "and if the gov keeps control we'll just follow the pace we set only we'll have to tell them we're doing so routinely. I think such people are angling to justify post-lockdown measures such as mandatory contact tracking and turn current authoritarian licence into permanent authoritarian licence. They want lockdowns to last long enough and be harmful enough that people will accept greater state control and surveillance in return for ending them. People shouldn't accept it - they should say "lock us up or let us go; but don't tell us we can go if we let you arrest us for not having our phone on us."
I am rapidly growing very sick of the term "new normal".
Sweden seems to be ticking over alright but using it as an opportunity to kill off old people. Angry Foreigner is always an interesting source for things that don't make the mainstream Swedish media (most of which is paid for by State subsidies).

It's not a plan. It's not a conspiracy. What kind of orchestrated plan to release a virus and reorder global society would have Donald Trump, AOC, Putin, Boris Johnson, Nancy Pelosi, Macron, Kim Jong Un, Iran, Japan, Rush Limbaugh, Chris Cuomo, Sean Hannity, Jim Acosta, and the owners of all media plus hundreds of scientists working together?
