It looks incredible.

If I'm being honest, I want Lara Croft (and many of the Tomb Raider assets) to fall under public domain. If you think about it, this will give free reign for fans to remaster and recreate the classic Tomb Raider games without Squeenix's authority. Although I am glad Sega is allowing fangames for Sonic. But this isn't the case with Squeenix given their status being bigger than Sega.

I finally saw the 3rd movie the other day and enjoyed it but something really bothered me.

At the end it has Lara getting a pair of HK USP Matchs, the same gun used in the first two films

But the first of the rebooted games clearly establishes that Lara's guns were 1911s, specifically Remington R1s which was consistent in even the earliest tomb raider game where the guns were .45 caliber and the art made them look like a mix of a 1911 and HiPower.

It just seems like a weird disconnect between the games and the films.

That's what also pissed me off about the film, it just felt rushed and fanservice-y. Not to mention, the writing and dialogue was completely laughable in a few areas that is even up there with the Hunger Games, Twilight, Ang Lee's Hulk, or either Star Wars prequel or sequel trilogies.

I think the lack of supernatural elements was down to the Chinese market. I felt the film would have worked better if it followed the game more closley, and started with her and the crew getting shipwrecked.

Any attractive female character get's their shit fucked up to make them less appealing, whether its erasing their cleavage, editing pics/cutscenes to not show their chest, or piling on more clothes ontop of their clothes, just to pander to these fucks that think boobs are the greatest evil ever. The fact of the matter is that majority of females that dislike big boobs are also the same ones that have super-low self-esteem issues because of their own small tits, not realizing that all men have different preferences in boob size.

They didn't forget about Sam, they wrote her out in the comics. Being possessed by Himiko's spirit made her go crazy and she ended up getting institutionalized or some shit.

Anyway, they couldn't keep Sam around because Lara needs a companion I guess and she's not special if she's not the only woman doing cool shit.
