TGWTG Allison Pregler / Obscurus Lupa / Movie Nights - The vindictive leader of #ChangeTheChannel, GOTIS personified, vendetta against The Cinema Snob

I remember back when CTC was starting, the complaints were aimed more towards Rob and Mike, since they were the ones running to show. And I think even they professed that Doug had little to do with CA's management, with some of them saying that Doug's not the real villain in this scenario. Then as time went on, they started bitching about Doug too, when initially their grievances were with the upper management; at worst, Doug was a severely incompetent director. To me it seems Linkara, Allison, and ERod are motivated by jealousy and a desire to be bigger than Doug; hell, Linkara's flat out called himself a better director.
I believe the thing they said about Doug was, as the main man of CA, he could have stepped in and put his foot down to stop all the shit going on that was complained about...but he didn’t. And Holly even said he was the deciding vote that led to her being fired.

All those contributors were just petty spergs with unrealistic expectations... like how their Anniversary complaints are about how it wasn't run like a Unionized Hollywood feature. All these guys basically did was film copyright-infringing "reviews" in their bedrooms, and the Walkers let them upload it to their site for shared views. And every once in a while they did a collab. Business savy and management doesn't even enter into it. You need a workplace to have workplace harrassment. None of those dipshits are directors, good or bad, because all they've made are Youtube videos. They're just clinging to sad delusions to think anything any of them ever did is worth getting mad over.

And lest we forget: One main complaint about the filming of these specials was that Walker didn't have food on standby.
How much of an idiot do you have to be to go hungy and not just order a fucking Pizza yourself and instead mope about shitty working conditions years later?

I think the idea is that the producers were doing these films for basically nothing, so they thought the bare minimum of food and breaks would be a given. Also, don’t forget how they complained about how Doug and Rob ignored the advice of those who went to film school.

To play the most contrarian of devil's advocates, that's not a huge ask. I probably expect something like that if I was a part of a days long project. Even the dopes who fell for the Fyre Fest scam got a cheese sandwich out it. I, however, am a nigga who posts on Kiwi Farms. You'd never catch my ass paying for my own ticket to some random micronation in Nevada to record myself acting like a retard in a "movie" for no pay.

The complaint about food was unequivocally correct. Providing crafts (food/water/minor conveniences on set) is a requirement for any film/TV production, even if it's a student film and the crafts table is just some potato chips and water. Spoony allegedly pointed this out to Doug when he tried to argue about it. In Hollywood, "crafties" are tight, unionised machines and it's serious business.

The Walkers not even knowing what crafts are is just funny given their ambitions at the time. Incompetence like that is why the anniversary film behind-the-scenes are such compelling trainwrecks.

That's basically their only valid complaint when it comes to the making of those things. Even BillyBob at his community college film course would be expected to have food for his cast.

For clarification: I am not saying it's unreasonable to expect (or demand) food being provided during such a production, I am saying the level of complaints about it is ridiculous.
The way they talk about it, they were out there starving, slaving away on the cotton fields for plantation owner Walker who withheld all food from them and I'm just wondering why they didn't just order food instead of whining (years later) about how hungry they were.

Half the complaint seems to be about their own lack of agency and their inability to assert themselves and demand breaks and food and they should be provided.

That makes sense. The other big thing complained about was how Doug ignored every piece of advice from those who went to film school.

I still think it's a petty gripe. Sure, any decent person would have provided some kind of refreshments, and Doug/Rob were asses for not doing so.

The rest of the merry band of autists didn't have to pay for their trip there however. They were making decent dosh with their videos. You're telling me they were seriously so broke they couldn't order pizza or Chinese? Or at least drive to a Walmart and get snacks?

No, that's something normal functioning adults might think of doing.

Now that I think about it, the only time she you see her doing things with other people was with Brad or Phelous, and she and Phelous haven't done a crossover in a long time. She had twitted about going on trips with other people, but you'd think she would post pictures of it.
Exactly. She's never gone to anyone else to do a crossover or just hang out. Same with a lot of the others but with Alison it's noticeable because as soon as she cut ties with Brad, her social life went to zero.

And the last shred of her sanity (if she ever had any to begin with).

Who's the greater sped? The filmmaker who doesn't provide catering for his shitty indie project, or the participants in said shitty indie project still being bitter about it a decade later?

I’d say the latter because three of these were made. Though apparently only TBF seems to be the one brought up by many when they bitch most of the time.

I wonder why unless on those two movies Doug did take 'em out to eat after they were done filming or some other stuff.

Suburban Knights was also a bit of a shitshow. Iron Liz got injured and had to sign a document saying they (CA) weren't at fault. She tagged along as Lewis' guest & ended up doing a lot of tech stuff, as well as filling in for a minor role. And when they did get food (like takeout from KFC), she was specifically told she wasn't allowed to eat, because she 'wasn't part of the cast/crew', even though she picked up the damn food. Orlando was also almost very seriously injured during a fight scene, as well.

Here's a livestream from back when CTC dropped where Liz discusses that story and other stuff. I know Vee Infuso isn't the most awesome person in the world, but it's straight from Liz herself. And yes, I realize it's over 3 hours long.

(Forgive me if that isn't formatted correctly, I've never inserted a video before.)
