Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

They're also acting like she just suddenly rapidly lost all the weight, when from what I've seen she's been steadily losing since 21. If anything, she went about it in the healthiest way you could and didn't really do it in a way that would set an "unrealistic standard" of weightloss.

I hope Adele keeps the weight off, if only because I don't want to listen to the ungodly crowing these people would do if she gained even a minuscule amount back.

ETA: I can't wait for the Lizzo weight loss saga the salt will flavor my popcorn for years

Do these heifers get upset when someone posts wedding pictures because this may trigger the unhappy single people? Should we stop sharing graduation photos because dropouts will feel bad about themselves? Fat logic is astounding.
If being fat is so great, why do they get so mad that other people aren't fat? Shouldn't they feel sorry for the thins since being fat is superior? All the FA platitudes in the world can't hide their jealousy ...

If most FA had the “don’t care, I’m awesome” attitude, I’d probably like the movement more (not as a whole, but at least that part). Instead, everyone has to be passive aggressive towards thin people and vile to those that lose weight. It’s all thinly veiled jealousy and everyone can see it.

Women hate seeing other women lose weight or being thinner than them, even if they're not in the BoPo vortex.

PL warning
I was losing weight and getting toned because I do warehouse work and a friend told me I needed to eat more, even though I was inhaling food from losing nearly 2k cal a day at work. Her mom, who is slightly overweight and has health issues from a bad diet, has also said I need to eat more. Pretty sure if I told them to eat less or eat healthier, they would pitch a fit lol.
Slim folks are free game, but make a passing comment to a fat, and it's the end of the world.
The mental gymnastics these dumb bitches go through to avoid a healthy lifestyle is astounding.
They know being fat is unattractive and unhealthy, but they're too fucking lazy to do anything about it, so they convince themselves that being fat IS attractive and doesn't affect your health, it's just society!!!
And now they get to havs alllll the donuts they want with no guilt as they eat themselves into diabetes.
I wonder if they'll still think it's worth it when their legs are amputated and they've gone blind.

But that is fatphobic doctors and nothing to do with eating every poor food choice in sight, but do not say they should eat less they are literal goddesses on Earth and only deserve the best.

I don’t agree that she’s been slowly and deliberately losing weight for the last decade. She’s always been big - sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller, but always big. This extreme weight loss has only happened since she broke up with her husband, I think.

Anyway, I think she’s had some sort of bariatric surgery. Will be interesting to see if she discusses it one day. It definitely ain’t Pilates, as the U.K. Daily Mail keeps saying. The activists will totally lose their shit if she fesses up to surgery.

I believe you're right, it was definitely more rapidly than I was thinking. I think this thread has destroyed my perception of bigness

Yeah, Adele spoke about the weight loss last year (I think) and mentioned working with the inevitable trainer and eating what actually was a significantly low number of calories - way, way under what Dr. Now would give someone much larger who needed to lose weight or die within a year - 700-800 a day I think was the reported amount. Nobody should be giving anyone under 1200 a day. If you need to lose weight you will do so easily on that, and many people can and should eat a bit more and lose if they are working out daily too.

I don't know the details of her diet plan, but ULC diets (ultra low calorie diets) are hideously outdated and not the way to sustainable weight loss as pretty much anybody knows these days, although it will obviously result in drastic weight loss in the short term. There are trainers who will - when it is entirely outside their scope of practice and they should not be doing this - give diets to clients though. I imagine the celeb world is awash with those. That Tracy Anderson who used to work with Madonna and Paltrow used to have clients on a few hunded calories a day while lifting their stupid 1lb weights interminably ... Tracy being uneducated in the field of nutrition (and face it, exercise, anybody who says women should never lift more than 3lb because they will get 'bulky' is a true moron) and a known major bulimic who used to leave the toilets in her old facility smelling of puke on a daily basis according to clients (and who had clear bulimia jaw in many of her red carpet pics), but she still had famous, rich women hanging onto her advice becuase they did thin out on it, as anybody thins out on ULC + hours of repetitive calisthenics a day with tiny weights clutched in their hands.

I hope she can keep the weight off but usually when someone who has been fat for most of their life loses shedloads in a short time from crash dieting (700-800 is the defintiion of that) they haven't spent any time learning how to eat normal amounts of food, did not get the nutirents they needed while dieting (whatever they tell you), and generally relapse at some point. It's why the FAs always spaz about weight gain being inevitable, really, the world of crash dieting which for many years was all people knew how to do and what was marketed by the diet industry, meant most people who dieted yo-yoed drastically over the years. Crash diets are part of why FAs and the like think all diets are 'starvation', because that's what they are, they're horrible for your health, unsustainable and don't teach you a thing about how to eat to stay a normal weight. It's feast or famine in that world.

I get the idea Adele wanted fast as fuck weight loss as celebs often do way more than normal folks due to being in the public eye and haviing themselves commented upon in the press, and paid someone who'd help her do it. God knows in celeb world its easy enough to find someone to help you do anything, however bad for you, if you pay them enough. I hope she can eat normally now to stay within a healthy weight category, but I do wonder.

People like Adele have the means to employ cooks to feed them appropriate-sized meals, and can pay for dieticians to make a plan for the cooks to prepare for them, but in the end , that doesn't mean much if they are driven to use food as comfort, or just have a very large appetite and can eat what they want. Look at Oprah, ffs. Billionaire who could employ someone to feed her salad with a silver fork, but she yo-yos in weight all the time.

This crap is endemic.

We never actually get "bulky" from lifting heavy weights unless that's what you decide to do. With maybe a little help from Mr. Steroid.

Adderall, coke, black coffee, and cigarettes could cause this sort of rapid extreme weight loss easily enough. I'm sure the nasty divorce and the insanely massive amount that Adele must pay to her ex (either 140 million dollars or pounds) have something to do with it as well. Celebrities often pretend to be so healthy but have terrible habits (e.g. macrobiotic-loving Gwyneth Paltrow smokes). It's funny, too, as I think Adele is 5'9", so she's still probably something like 140 to 150 pounds now, but people are treating her like she's in Ashley Isaacs territory.

I personally hope that Adele doesn't reveal much of anything and keeps up the "Pilates and green juice" narrative; that really seems to enrage the fatties the most because it focuses on deliberate behavior modification and personal accountability.

tl,dr: I like watching hypocritical obeasts get mad about other people's choices and bodies. I want more fat celebs to get skinny.

Trust fundee Michelle Elman is really having a tough time in lockdown after falling on her fatass and hurting her foot. Must be just horrible having the means to book a telemedicine consult while ordering takeout 3 times a day. Let's not forget Michelle actually claimed she had the 'rona back in March. Sure you did. She's not quite a spoonie but certainly has aspects in common with some spoonies on IG.

I initially thought this was a joke. If not for the "Joker and Harley Quinn" tattoo I would not have recognized Lilith in this bit (originally tweeted in March, and re-tweeted today): Lilith bragging about what products she uses to retain what she called her "ageless complexion." She also used the phrase "youthful complexion" to describe herself. This woman also claims to be only 37 years old and also claims her skin looks "youthful" and "ageless":

For the record: I am NOT "wrinkle-shaming" or "lines on the face-shaming" here; I am "completely out of touch with reality-shaming." Maybe she looks youthful by the standards of a woman who was 37 years old in 1920, and spent her life working outdoors, in all weather conditions, on a subsistence farm ... but for a 37-year-old indoor-dweller in the year 2020, she looks rough.

ETA: I did not watch the whole video, but downthread a bit, Angry New Ager did and says this is an old-age filter. Which is a relief, in a way.

My 70 year-old mom looks better. Sorry to pl.

Everybody I know in their 40s and 50s looks better, including some retired military personnel who spent years and years stationed in some very harsh climates. And everyone I know in their 30s looks young enough to be the son or daughter of the woman in that screenshot.

Did you watch the video all the way through? She uses an old-age filter on it at the beginning, then removes it (and thus all the wrinkles and sagginess) toward the end.

I was all WTF when I first saw it too, until I realized what she'd done. I don't doubt she looks a lot rougher IRL than she does in her pics, but she doesn't look like that. And she's so appearance-obsessed, if she actually did look like that she'd never, ever show it.

Lilith Thompson of Tacoma, WA has a shaky relationship with the truth at best, but she doesn't actually look like that. Not yet, anyway.

I notice she's changed her location to Seattle, WA instead of Vancouver, BC, which is slightly more plausible (there was no way the Canuckistanis were ever going to allow her in), but it's still 30 miles (and a lot more cool points, depending on who you ask) from her actual location.

Well I feel dumb, but I am actually relieved. I didn't watch it because fatty tiktoks are cringey. And i wouldn't have sex with them

No, I'll admit I lacked the patience for that.

At least this makes more sense than when she claimed to live in Canada while simultaneously saying that Bernie Sanders' medical plan was the only thing that might possibly save her life.

I love scrolling mindlessly through twitter and looking at the profile pictures of the people criticizing Adele for losing weight. Lol 90% are fatties. Whales mad

Uh 73, not 37 right? That has to be a typo...
