Theres a dramatized film on Amazon about the situation. I love horror and nerve-wracking films but because after all the reading I'd done on the situation, I dont think I could stomach it.

It's called "The Final Descent" if someone more ballsy than me wants to check it out.
It was absolutely chilling to read about. We can joke all day about doing stupid things, winning stupid prizes, or Darwin awards, but I can’t imagine a death much worse than being trapped for so many hours now your head in the darkness and slowly realizing you will never come out and see your family again. That just ruined my whole day. And if he had just stopped sooner and sought rescue instead of going down that slope he could’ve been saved. I will never understand how anyone can even stomach attempting to squeeze into those passages.

All jokes about Mormons and 'pray in one hand, shit in the other and see which one gets filled first' aside, that's my idea of hell.

Claustrophobia aside, the mother fucker drowned in his own lung fluid. They talked about sedating him to break his legs to get him out, but they would have no way of getting him out of the rest of the cave if was unconscious.

Spelunking by itself looks like the stuff of nightmares

Imagine being in cave like this, you can barely move your arms or legs, there is dust everywhere so you can't breathe properly, if you're alone you can't ask for help, i'm kind of a big man myself, and when i try to imagine how it feels to be stuck in a cave like that even for a couple of minutes, it must be a living hell

I’ve always thought that spelunking through actual caverns where you could move around without getting stuck seemed fun, but I can not in any way understand why somebody would try to crawl in those tiny little caves like that. Jesus that shit really does seem like the closest thing to hell in the living world that I could ever possibly think of.

Going to explore caves with family or friends and maybe some expert who knows what they fuck they're doing could be fun, certainly there's a huge difference between this
