Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

I realize the “Neelix is a pedo because Kas is 2” discussion was a few pages back, but didn’t her race only live for like 8 years? So their “2” would be like our “20”?
Yeah, and in this video:
SFDebris even runs with this theory that the occampas were designed as sex slaves. (Age rapidly to maturity, breed very rarely, even if you do knock one up, chances are the baby dies at birth, etc- around the 7:30 mark)

Part of the other running gag is that Neelix was often Naomi's babysister as well as that of the borg kids.

(EDIT: going back and seeing some clips, Kes really did have a voice made for a phone sex line - shame Jennifer didn't make it to the ASMR age)

Half the crew on any given series are ticking time bombs. Data was constantly getting reprogrammed. The Vulcans would go on violent rampages if they got horny. Worf would run off if anyone cyberbowled him about his honor.

Not to mentions every admiral in Starfleet is a secret asshole. Admiral Leyton, Admiral Satie, Admiral Cartwright, Admiral Jameson... Why are the majority of Starfleet admirals corrupt or downright evil?

Kathleen Kennedy syndrome. They all sucked as captains so Starfleet promoted them up to get them out of the way and let the best officers keep working.

Exhibit A: Janeway.

(i kid, i kid)

The Ocampa are a genetically doomed race. And their life cycle makes no sense... But no, the fact that they are short lived does not change the fact that Kes canonically only has somewhere between 730-1094 days of life experience at the start of Voyager. It's still gross that Neelix probably fucked her..

You know there's an actual anime all about that?

"Interspecies Reviewer." I checked it out on a dare and am actually kind of embarrassed that this absolute trash show is doing more to examine how different species might boink than Star Trek ever did. i.e. The elf guy in the show is really into this 70-80 year old human woman. Since - you know - elves aren't even really adult until ~100, to him it's could be argued as pedophilia.

Of course it's also a shame that Voyager didn't make a joke of this all and be like "wait, it takes like 100 earth years for the Occampa world to loop around their sun." (or something)

EDIT: At least that anime produced a meme we can always use on this board.

In "Before and After" (s3e21) both Tom and Harry get in on that as well.

Generally I like Voyager, but the Okampa shit got weird. Interesting concept until dating/procreation comes up, then it's just uncomfortable the whole way though.

Would still bang Voyager era pre-meth Jennifer Lien though.

Ever notice 7 of 9 is the only woman Tom doesn't bang on the ship?

Janeway - lizard sex
Kes - alt history sex
Torres - final girl

If someone revealed Tom as a descendant of Kirk, I would believe it.

A lot of characters really got around on that show, come to think of it.

Could have nailed a Klingon if he’d have just manned up and gone with it instead of getting fake-cucked by Neelix.
SFDebris has a running gag that Harry has a sexuality neurosis that will take scientists multiple generations to analyze and identify.

(I mean in the one timeline he married Tom's daughter and fathered Tom's grandson.)

It's gross that Neelix fucked ANYONE.
He likes having his whiskers pulled *shudders*

Would you rather:
Watch Neelix fuck Kes, or watch Rom fuck Leeta?

I mean it was a small crew stuck on a ship for 7 years! Of course they got around a lot.

Also, Harry is the Geordi of the show. They seem to all have a romantic loser. Bashir being the one on DS9, striking out with Jadzia, losing Leeta to Rom (smh), The "cripple" girl dumped him. The super-space-autist girl (God wanna talk about creepy? This one is suuuuuuuch a fucking breach of doctor/patient relationship. "It's okay I transferred her to an other doctor, that makes it okay for me to try to fuck this girl that couldn't speak a week ago."), that other classmate has a husband. Am I forgetting any? Of course it works out for him because he ends up with Ezri (But not before Worf broke her in first.)

They tried to explain it by saying that the Ocampa are a childlike race because of the Caretaker keeping them underground for hundreds of years. When Voyager track down the second Caretaker the super Ocampans had insane telepathic powers and much longer lifespans.

Neelix is still creepy because he was having an illicit affair with Kes for some time before she was captured by the Kazon.

I forgot about that, that actually makes a little more sense as to why they were so child-like. The diddler-vibes weren't from Kes' age (so she's 2 in space years -- how long is that on their planet, even?) it was from her appearing so damn innocent and child-like next to Neelix.

So now I'm wondering, did every Caretaker have such an ant farm?

I've asked what Star Wars would be like if it were just the 1977 movie. With that thought, what if Star Trek had remained just the 1960s original series (TOS)? How would things be different then?
For one, a lot of modern technology that was inspired by Star Trek probably wouldn't exist, or at least would be delayed for a while.
